I am an American and I loved this show. I watched all 32 episodes, with the subtitles. Several people from the Ming Dynasty accidentally travel through time and end up working at a Hong Kong restaurant.
Think of a humorous Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon crossed with a modern soap opera.
In particular, my favorite is Miss Chi, the owner of the restaurant. To paraphrase Chris Tucker, I do not understand the words that are coming out of her mouth. But I think she is very funny and entertaining; I laughed a lot.
And I fell in love with her character.
Miss Ling is very easy on the eyes and very sweet.
The middle episodes just dealt with the conflicts of 400 year old people living in the modern day; not just technology, but also having old-fashioned principles.
The later episodes brought back the use of time travel.
The final resolution of the story was a surprise and it made me cry.
