It's so easy to watch, really well made and Karl has done a very good job acting.
The humour is very dry and if you're a fan of KP then you will surely like this.
Seen the 1st 4 episodes and I'm loving it.

A heart warming dry comedy with some laugh out loud moments.
Different to anything I have seen Karl in before, nice to see him still expressing his unique view point on the world.

It's a really solid, heartwarming comedy drama.
I think those expecting a laugh a minute may be disappointed but I don't think that's the show the creators intended.
All the characters grow on you; you just have to give it a chance!
I felt as though Karl was settling into the role to start with and by the end we have a fleshed out, endearing character whos overall arc is really well done.
Props to the writers - really appreciate the feel-good vibe after some of the episodes. There's really not that many shows left that do that!

Huge fan of the Ricky Gervais radio series and podcasts. I thought it was brilliant. Karl is a good actor, even if hes just being himself in the end. Keep em coming Karl!
Didn't expect much from this but it excellent. So much better than your average sitcom. Surprised there is not a 3rd series. A lot of the stuff Karl say is what i think as well.

Genuinely funny and well written! I am a big fan of Karl and was worried this would be terrible. I didn't need to worry and so glad for Karl that's it really really good! It's really great with excellent one liners from "inner self" Karl. Many quips are classically profound too which is Karl at his best. My favourite from the pod cast days was the people sitting around in a meeting at his work "pushing bull**** around the room......like stag beetles." Expect insightful humour like this - 5 stars!
As a big fan of Karl Pilkington, i was expecting to like the show instantly. What i didnt expect however, was to see Karl star in a surprisingly serious role, in a very well designed show.
The comedy aspect was what we all know and love about Karl; yet the storyline was multi-dimensional and well thought out, with some solid uses of symbolism and whatnot to actually present the struggle of the character.
Its depressing but funny, smart but simple and most of all very entertaining.
I can see Karl attracting a whole new fanbase after this series ends!

Found this series very hit and miss. Karl's at his best when he's just being himself and reacting to places, people and things in general. When it's forced out through a script, it just doesn't have the same effect. I liked a couple of episodes, but I just didn't love the series as a whole.
I've loved Karl's shows aand books for years and this new scripted show i had a lot of doubts about, but i must say it is very surprising, its written so well. The show is easy to watch, yet includes a few embarrassing cringe moments. The only thing i would change is the aunty norma being english instead of american as she is in the show. I could imagine the likes of ricky gervais being very very impressed with Karl's work

Karl plays Karl (twice) in this dark comedy which follows on from his creative musings on the Ricky Gervais show. A little nod to Larry David in the way that it's the little things in life that irk Karl, and much like Larry in the end you find yourself agreeing with him more often than not. A slow burner series, it has depth but still carries enough laughs and has moment of genuine hilarity - turning the baby dolls head around so he can knock one out in the cubicle!. The second Karl could have seemed gimmicky but ends up being the perfect foil. Job done, no more teeth grinding needed Karl.

I was expecting an average programme at best. The first series was better then I expected. When I finished watching the second series, I'm thinking: "What can Karl Pilkington not do?" He can act, write, dance and guarantee to make you laugh. A natural talent at entertaining.
This show is worth your attention!
It's great to see Karl change direction and write a series completely different to his Travel programs.
I have to admit I wasn't the biggest fan of the first series - not as many laughs as expected and some of the problems the character 'Karl' bears are unbearable!
However I binge watched series 2 in lockdown and was presently surprised. Karl is such a relatable character that you follow wherever he goes and the episodes are very well written.
Compare this with Gervais' After Life, and maybe I shouldn't, apples and oranges and all that. However Karl, being the writer and actor is excelling at what Ricky normally does best.
It's not ground-breaking but it deserves a lot more attention.

Plenty of similarities with "Louie" series and thats not a bad thing, if anyone was to do a similar series it should be Karl. I can't say his acting is spot on, however its good enough.
This might not be for everyone, but you should absolutely give it a try.

Great series, watched season 1 & 2 in one day, felt lost when it finished Harls... Can't wait for series 3 as I'm a biscuit eating cab driver too.

It's clear that Gervais and Merchant knew exactly how to get the best out of Karl.
If they'd have written this sitcom for him, it would have probably worked. Because they knew what was so weird / funny / intriguing about Karl. He doesn't. So that comes across.
It just isn't funny without the Ying and Yang of questioning his thought process.
You can tell that the writers and Karl were trying to capture that, with the '2nd Karl'acting as his consiense. But it just doesn't work. Falls flat on its face.
Karl's schtick has always been his natural ignorance , combined with Ricky and Steve poking him with a stick at Just the right time.
This is contrived bollocks and misses the essence of him, completely.
Get back on the phone with Ricky Gervais, Karl.
You both need each other .
Massive fan of Karl, can't get enough of the stuff he does, currently getting through all the pod casts with him Steve and Ricky while I'm working, had me in stitches, I hope they do more together in the future! I'm guessing this is solely Karl branching off and doing this show, which i think is hilarious, had me crying and in hysterics, I really hope theres a few more seasons of this to come.

Just finished watching series 2 and it was magnificent!!
King Kong, sprinkling ashes with a sugar seller, getting thrown out of the cinema for laughing at the non-funny parts of a film, buying glasses since the stall holder says it makes you look like a cute poet only later to find that ruby thinks it makes you look like Gandhi ...plus numerous other moments of pure comedy gold. It's laughable how only 1200 folk have voted for this with an average of 7.4.
If you haven't seen it watch it!! it's good for your sense of humour and to the powers that be ...,please please please make another series or 7.

This show is brilliant. Being a huge fan of the podcasts but not that much of his previous television series I didn't have high hopes for this but 2 episodes in and I'm hooked. If you liked shows about comedians being themselves like the Jim Jeffries series about him having a baby or Louie, then this is perfect because it's hilarious, real and so very relatable. So this is not an over the top, ridiculous sitcom. This is more like real life. Not unlike The Office but with Karl's inner dialogue.

Great show. The British version of 'Curb your enthusiasm'. Dark, funny, melancholic.
Just watched 1st episode and it was frustratingly unfunny. Total crock.
I am a fan of Karl Pilkington and I feel he would call it trash if he tried to watch it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series; it is a great watch especially during this dreary period of Covid-19 isolation. I enjoy listening to Karl anyway as he offers a completely unique and funny insight into the most mundane ordinary things. This series has a great mix of happy and sad moments, heartwarming yet slightly heartbreaking situations and the actors/characters are all very well chosen to compliment the story lines. The soundtrack is really good too and you can download it on Spotify. Great work by all on this series, Karl has a real talent for this line of work and I hope to see something like this again.
