This OVA anime movie is included as a bonus in the Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X (2006) video game as a special unlockable extra. It is also included in Rockman X Anniversary Collection (2018) (VG) and Rockman X Anniversary Collection 2 (2018) (VG), which unlike the original does not need to be unlocked.

Would've loved an anime like this.

Good voice acting, tragic story, fitting for mega man x. It's a shame this is only a short. Because I would've loved a series just like this. Loved sigma in particular. We get to see his transformation to evil and get X's character more fleshed out. Definitely a watch for all mega man fans.
