Rolling Girls is a tribute to the famous punk rock band The Blue Hearts. Every episode name is a Blue Hearts song, and the story even features parodies of the old band members. The series heavily features insert songs that are covers of The Blue Hearts' most popular songs, including Owaranai Uta (Endless Song) and Hito ni Yasashiku (Be Kind to People).
