The Coven, the company behind worldwide sales of Terrifier 2 and Terrifier 3, will commence sales at American Film Market on the coming-of-age horror The Evilry starring Teri Polo, Billy Zane, and Dylan Walsh.

Production is scheduled to begin in October with Alexander Garcia (Crushed It!) in the director’s chair.

Joining Polo from the Meet The Parents franchise and Zane from Titanic are Dylan Walsh from Congo and Nip/Tuck and Elena Kampouris (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 and 3) and Brec Bassinger, who will star in the upcoming Final Destination: Bloodlines.

“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” star Robert Aramayo is set to play a Tourette’s Syndrome campaigner in upcoming biopic titled “I Swear.”

Directed by Kirk Jones (“My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2”), who is returning for his first feature film in eight years, “I Swear” tells the story of Tourette’s Syndrome campaigner, John Davidson. Principal photography recently wrapped in Scotland.

“I Swear” follows Davidson’s journey with Tourette’s through his troubled teens and early adulthood, having been diagnosed at 15 years old in 1980s Britain – a time when the condition was little known and entirely misunderstood.

“Targeted as insane by his peers, Davidson lives with a condition few have ever witnessed, as he attempts to live a ‘normal’ life against the odds,” reads the synopsis.

Actor John Stamos has opened about his mental state at the time of his 2015 DUI and the series of events that led him to sobriety.

He said: “When I did get the DUI, I came home from the hospital that night,” reports Entertainment Weekly.

He told People magazine: “I sat down, I drank a bottle of wine just to forget what just happened. And I never sobered up.”

The actor, who has now been sober for eight years, said that he almost immediately had to leave home to film ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2’ following the arrest.

As per Entertainment Weekly, he did not allow himself time to process, and his drinking didn’t stop once he was on set.

“When you sober up, you have to look at the ugly truth, so you keep drinking,” he said. “So I was kind of just loosely buzzed through the shooting of that movie.

John Stamos is looking back at what led him to finally get sober.

In a new interview, the 60-year-old Full House alum reflected on his DUI in 2015 and how he immediately went home and “drank a bottle of wine” to “forget” what happened.

Netflix Debuts Trailer for Part 1 of “The Crown” Final Season

Closer than ever to coronation, Netflix has released the trailer for Part 1 of the sixth and final season of its hit period drama “The Crown.”

The final season of the series will span 1997-2005 with the four-episode Part One depicting the relationship between Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) and Dodi Fayed (Khalid Abdalla) and the 1997 car crash in Paris that killed them.

John Stamos appeared on “The Howard Stern Show” to promote his new memoir, “If You Would Have Told Me,” and revealed that his alcoholism got so bad around 2015 that he actually does not remember being on set to film his role in “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.” The actor appeared to forget he even booked a part in the film and was reminded the day after his 2015 arrest for driving under the influence that he had to go to Toronto, Canada, to film.

In previous interviews, Stamos has said his 2015 DUI arrest was a definitive moment in convincing him that it was time to get sober. But it didn’t happen instantly. He told Stern that after he got home from jail, he “drank another bottle of wine by myself.”

Warner Bros. Discovery is projecting huge losses from the impact of writer and actor strikes, but “Barbie” is still around to help them pay bills. It’s hardly news that as Greta Gerwig’s smash hit starts its initial post-theater platform release, it’s #1 on PVOD charts. The real story: that it’s doing so with a hefty premium price.

Gerwig’s #1 theatrical hit worldwide for 2023 (which will end up with around $1.5 billion in theatrical returns) is now renting on PVOD for $24.99, with the option to add it to your digital library permanently for $29.99. Studios recover 80 percent from revenues returned for these transactions, less a small slice for the carrier. That means Warner Bros. Discovery will recoup around $20 for each “Barbie” rental, $25 for each download. It’s a bonanza.

The first “Nun” was released in 2018 as a spinoff of New Line’s lucrative “Conjuring” horror series, and is the highest grossing film in the franchise with a $53 million domestic opening and a $365 million global box office total against a reported $22 million budget.

“Nun II” has never been projected to reach the heights of its predecessor, but is still beating the $24 million opening of the 2021 film “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,” which released simultaneously in theaters and on streaming.

May 1 marks the series debut of “White House Plumbers,” the new limited series from “Veep” showrunner David Mandel that chronicles the Watergate break-in and fallout. That show airs on HBO and will stream on HBO Max. Then on May 4, the comedy “The Other Two” returns for its third season on HBO Max.

The sixth season of the animated series “Rick and Morty” will be available to stream on HBO Max starting on May 11, and in terms of library titles the “Men in Black” trilogy, the comedies “Step Brothers” and “Some Like It Hot” and Jonah Hill’s directorial debut “Mid90s” all come to HBO and HBO Max this month.

Discovery did indeed recently reveal that it would be rebranding its combined HBO Max and Discovery streaming service as just Max. As the company notes in its press release for May though, that change doesn’t take effect until May 23. What follows is a list of everything coming to HBO Max through May 22.

The biggest releases this month are two TV series that arrive at the beginning of May. White House Plumbers is a comedic take on the infamous Watergate scandal starring Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux. That will be followed by season 3 of The Other Two, which I personally consider the funniest show on television. Catch up now before it’s too late!

Audiences at CinemaCon were treated to the first-ever trailer for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3,” the latest chapter in the romantic comedy series about culture clashes, true love, bundt cakes and the many, many uses for Windex. The third entry picks up years after the original and follows the Portokalos family as they reunite a hop, skip and a jump away from their hometown of Chicago.

“A lot has happened since my big fat Greek wedding,” Nia Vardalos’ character says in a voice over. “My father passed away, and his last wish was for us to visit his childhood village in Greece and reconnect with our roots. So, we’re having a reunion.”

The trailer, which isn’t yet available to the public, begins as the Portokalos family packs their bags and travels overseas to find the friends and cousins (blood or otherwise) of Toula’s late father.

The time has finally arrived, How I Met Your Father fans — John Corbett will make his season 2 debut when episode 9, “The Welcome Protocol,” premieres on Tuesday, March 21, on Hulu. As the trailer teased, Corbett plays Sophie’s (much older) boyfriend, who we learned during the season 2 premiere may or may not be her father. But How I Met Your Father isn’t the first time Hilary Duff has worked with Corbett.

It’ll be a fall family reunion for the “My Big Fat Greek Weeding” clan, with Focus Features dating the third film in the franchise for a worldwide theatrical release on Sept. 8, 2023.

Nia Vardalos wrote and directed the new film, starring alongside returning cast members John Corbett, Louis Mandylor, Elena Kampouris, Maria Vacratsis, Andrea Martin, Elias Kacavas, Gia Carides, Joey Fatone and Lainie Kazan. Elias Kacavas and Melina Kotselou join the family this time around.

The highly anticipated third film in the “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” franchise was written and directed by its star Nia Vardalos. Alongside her filming in Athens are co-stars John Corbett, Louis Mandylor, Elena Kampouris, Maria Vacratsis, Andrea Martin, Elias Kavacas, Gia Carides, Joey Fatone and Melina Kotselou.

The early fall corridor has worked out well in recent times for movies appealing to older adult moviegoers. Universal’s hit romantic-comedy Ticket to Paradise opened in cinemas this past September, while Focus’ Downtown Abbey started its theatrical run in September 2018.

Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 opens more than 20 years after My Big Fat Greek Wedding grossed 368.7 million at the worldwide box office, including 241.4 million domestically. Rita Wilson knew she wanted to bring the two Latino characters, played by Manuel Garcia Rulfo and Mariana Trevino, from “A Man Called Otto” into her song “Till You’re Home.” She fell in love with the vocals of Sebastián Yatra, who sang the Oscar-nominated “Dos Oruguitas” from Disney’s “Encanto” (2021). He had one day off and happened to be in Los Angeles, giving him one day to record the track. “We were incredibly lucky that he said yes,” says Wilson.

The actor, producer, singer and songwriter will enter the awards conversation for best original song for the upcoming Sony Pictures feature film, which stars her husband, Tom Hanks, and is directed by Marc Forster.

The four-part series will dramatise the events around a Scottish community’s fight against Donald Trump’s golf course.

UK director-producer Kirk Jones is set to direct the drama series You’ve Been Trumped, based on Anthony Baxter’s 2011 documentary, for Vertigo Films and digital entertainment company Blazing Griffinand Montrose Pictures.

It will explore how a small Scottish community stood up against Donald Trump and his proposed golf course development.

This will be the TV debut of Jones, best known for directing Waking Ned, Nanny McPhee, What To Expect When You’re Expecting, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 He has also written the screenplay.

Nia Vardalos reunited with her My Big Fat Greek Wedding costars Louis Mandylor, Lainie Kazan, and Gia Carides to tribute their costar Michael Constantine who died on Aug. 31 at the age of 94.

“Friends in real life are why our films are so much fun to make,” she wrote. “Cousin Nikki @gia.carides & brother Nick @louismandylorofficial & mom, @lainie_kazan gathered to honor the memory of Michael Constantine, may he rest in peace.”

She added of Constantine, “He had told me he wouldn’t be able to join us for the third film and his wish was that we go on. I wrote the screenplay to reflect Michael’s decision and will always treasure his last messages to me, hoping we were filming soon.”

The Instagram post also shared little details about the third installment from the franchise that Deadline hears will involve Toula (Vardalos) and Ian’s (John Corbett) daughter Paris’ (Elena Kampouris) wedding.

Michael Constantine, whose long career produced an Emmy award and many memorable turns as a character actor, died Aug. 31 at his home in Reading, Pa. He was 94 and died from natural causes, his agent, Julia Buchwald, confirmed.

Constantine was best known as the fruit and Windex-obsessed father Gus Portokalos in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, an indie film that rose out of nowhere to become a smash hit. It spawned a sequel and a third version was in the planning stages, this time set in Greece.,

The original film from 2002 scored more than $360 million worldwide, becoming one of the highest-grossing romantic comedies of all-time.

But Constantine had a long career before that breakout hit. He was the school principal on the popular TV series Room 222. The role of Seymour Kaufman was a key to the show, which ran on ABC-tv from 1969 to 1974. He won an Emmy for the role in 1970.

Constantine’s agent confirmed the news of his death to Variety. He died of natural causes.

“My Big Fat Greek Wedding” scored a domestic gross of $241 million in 2002; No. 2 on the list is “What Women Want” with $183 million. The film drew a SAG Awards nomination for outstanding performance by the cast of a theatrical motion picture.

As Roger Ebert recounted, Constantine’s Gus “specializes in finding the Greek root for any word (even ‘kimono’), and delivers a toast in which he explains that ‘Miller’ goes back to the Greek word for apple, and ‘Portokalos’ is based on the Greek word for oranges, and so, he concludes triumphantly, ‘In the end, we’re all fruits.’ ”

“Dream Doll,” a biopic based on Barbie Doll inventor Ruth Handler, is in development with Bron Studios, Rita Wilson and Rare Bird Films, Variety has learned exclusively.

The film will chronicle the life of Handler as she founded Mattel in 1945 and created the now-iconic Barbie doll, named after her daughter Barbara, in 1959. Handler was one of the first women to run a Fortune 500 company. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1970 and died in 2002.
