Who Is Mandi Line?

Y&r has welcomed award-nominated costume designer Mandi Line to its crew. Line is best known for her work on Pretty Little Liars. She’s also responsible for dressing the casts of Death and Other Details, Shameless, and The Bold Type. Her work will be unveiled on the Monday, November 18th episode.

Line graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (Fidm). Shortly after, she started her costume design career on independent movies, music videos, and red-carpet events. Line’s impressive Hollywood clientele includes Kirsten Dunst and Mandy Moore.

Best known for her design work on such shows as “Pretty Little Liars,” “Death and Other Details” and “The Bold Type,” the Costume Designer’s Guild Award and Caftcad (Canadian Alliance of Film and Television Costume Arts and Design) award-nominated Mandi Line is heading to “The Young and the Restless” as the show’s new costume designer.

Viewers can look expect to see what Line has in store for the people of Genoa City beginning with the Monday, November 18 episode of the CBS daytime drama series.

“There was one world in 30 years of my career I hadn’t conquered, and that was soaps! When I got the call I thought, ‘Yep! This is where I’m meant to be,’” Line said in a statement. “After my first fitting with Melody Thomas Scott [Nikki Newman] I knew I was home, feeling excited and grateful to bring what I do best to Genoa City.

Wonder Dynamics, the artificial intelligence start-up co-founded by actor Tye Sheridan, has unveiled its latest AI-powered tool, which is capable of easily turning live-action footage into a 3D, animated scene.

On October 30, Wonder Dynamics launched the beta version of Wonder Animation, a new video-to-3D scene tech that lets artists shoot a scene with any camera, in any location, and turn the footage into an animated scene with CG characters in a 3D environment via AI reconstruction.

Wonder’s flagship, Wonder Studio, has already made waves in the industry for tech that allows users to easily create animated CG characters on top of live-action footage. But this tech goes a step further.

Atx TV Festival has announced the first round of events for the 2025 event, set to take place in Austin from May 29-June 1, including reunions of “The Leftovers” and “UnREAL” and a peek inside the world of Bill Lawrence.

On Monday, the festival announced “The Leftovers” will reunite during Season 14 with co-creators Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta, director and executive producer Mimi Leder, and cast members Justin Theroux, Carrie Coon, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Ann Dowd and Kevin Carroll. During Sunday’s Halo World Championships, 343 Industries announced that it would officially be changing its name to Halo Studios. The rebranded studio has announced that it would be leaving Slipspace Engine behind to pave the way for the future of Halo games being made using Unreal Engine 5.

In a 7-minute video showcased during Sunday’s Halo World Championship. The entire team at Halo Studios came forward to address the world regarding the internal changes that the team is currently going through.

It’s fitting that the forward-thinking Francis Ford Coppola finally turned to virtual production on his $120 million futuristic passion project, “Megalopolis,” with its reliance on experimental theatricality and fantasy imagery. After all, the director has always been a proponent of tech advancement: “One From the Heart” (1982) introduced the Silverfish electronic hub for enabling simultaneous pre-production, production, and post-production activity. However, his preference for shooting live in-camera effects (“Bram Stoker’s Dracula”) necessitated an embrace of blue screen and LED volume stage work.

But Coppola was in a bind. After disbanding his VFX team (along with his art department) mid-way through production (creative differences became a budgetary necessity), he hired his nephew, Jesse James Chisholm, a Marvel vet, to take over as VFX supervisor (working at Coppola’s new All-Movie Hotel post facility outside of Atlanta).

Tim Miller has a new animated series coming to Amazon called Secret Level, which uses assets created in Unreal 5 Engine to digitally animate a different videogame world in each episode.

UnREAL debuted on Lifetime in 2015. The main cast included Shiri Appleby (Roswell) as Rachel, a producer of the fictional dating show, Everlasting. Constance Zimmer (Boston Legal) played her boss, Quinn. The show ran for three seasons on Lifetime before getting picked up by Hulu for its fourth and final season.

Hallmark hunk Brennan Elliott played the host of the fictional dating show. Soap stars Kim Matula (The Bold & The Beautiful) and Josh Kelly (General Hospital) also had roles on the show.

Indian studio Applause Entertainment is gearing up for an ambitious slate of projects as it enters its eighth year of operations.

The company, led by managing director Sameer Nair, a pioneer of Indian television with previous stints at Star TV, Ndtv Imagine, Turner General Entertainment and Balaji Telefilms, has its sights set on expanding into new genres and formats while building on its established successes.

Leading the charge is “Nyaya,” a courtroom drama produced in association with Mangata Films. Directed by Nitya Mehra, Karan Kapadia and Heeraz Marfatia, the fictionalized series based on real events follows a 17-year-old girl seeking justice against a powerful ‘godman,’ or leader of a religious cult, who raped her. The project boasts a strong cast including Fatima Sana Sheikh, Aneet Padda, Arjun Mathur, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub and Raghubir Yadav.

“When this opportunity came up, we really pounced on it,” Nair told Variety. “They’ve shot it really well.

Today, Heroic Signatures announced the company is in production on its first animated feature film for its popular franchise, Mutant: Year Zero. Based on Mutant: Year Zero Road to Eden, a tactical adventure video game first released in 2018, the film follows an unlikely team of animal mutants as they navigate a post-apocalyptic wasteland in search of answers.

Dolph Lundgren and Ian McElhinney will lend their voices to the feature, with more talent to be announced soon.

Chalkdust’s debut project, “Boxen: The Childhood Chronicles of C.S. Lewis,” weighs in as a serialized adaptation of Lewis’ first-ever short stories, written with his brother when he was still a child. Financing for the first season has already been finalized by Noble Road Media, a new Atlanta-based organization formed by Michael Carney, who will executive produce with Mass and Vincent Sieber-Smith, co-director of The C.S. Lewis Company.
