I just stumbled into this, looking for something to watch from Prime Video. To me, the first episode is exceptional. There is a hidden depth, a quintessential look at Japanese culture. While I don't drink, I found the philosophy and preparation of the perfect drink mesmerizing.
The closing credits were superb, harking back to the story and one of the drinks, and showing the bartender making one. The visuals with the glass reflections, and fish swimming in the background were awesome, with what appears to real life footage, but having an aspect of still being animated. There is even the piano player and singer of the closing credits in real time.
This anime has somehow reaffirmed my faith in humanity, what it means to be exceptional, and the human interaction.
