Featured review
This is the type of show that people dare each other to watch all 23 minutes of.
It centers around a group of 4 interns whose characters have been fleshed out just enough to have an immediate goal. The rest of the characterization is reliant on stereotypes. Given this information, it's no surprise that the dialogue is forgettable and boring.
But wait! For some reason, probably the result of the same drugs the Asian computer whiz character was on for the first 30 seconds of the show, it's a musical as well! There's no real reason for these people to sing, so instead of having the writer's find the logical music cue, they just had them write pun-filled songs as boring as the characters themselves.
I truly do not mean to be so snarky, and it's obvious that the writers have a fondness for musicals, but this was so thrown together and slapdash that it was painful to watch.
Also, giving Bebe Neuwirth, a true powerhouse of musical theater talent, scant screen time in favor of the less-than-fantastic four interns is a crime so heinous that it makes me understand some people's predilection for torture. And whose idea was that accent?!
