Sean Pollock, the director/executive producer/designer of the production had been developing a revival for 5 years including two concert versions in NYC and an aborted production in New Jersey in 2019.

Goofs
During principal photography, actor Maxim Swinton had gotten sick and actor Byron Ramirez had been temporarily suspended from his role; and in their places swings Molly Lyons and Serena Parrish filled in for their roles. Molly and Serena can be seen in the finale behind the chain link fence and during the pre-show as well.
