Nanami Haruka enters the Saotome Academy, a performing arts school for young hopefuls who aspire to be either idols or composers. Her goal is to graduate and write songs for her idol, a pop star called HAYATO. Along the school year, she makes friends with six boys (Ittoki Ottoya, Jinguji Ren, Hijirkawa Masato, Kurusu Syo, Shinomiya Natsuki, and Ichinose Tokiya) . One by one, each boy falls for her, but there's just one problem: love is against the rules at the school.

The principal of the academy cuts Haruka out of STARISH's debut, saying that she is not worthy to write their songs. Haruka visits her grandmother's house in the country to do some soul-searching.
