A short film that pulls you in wanting to know more on characters backgrounds but does it in a way like a tease. The right amount of curiosity to what's happing and what has happened, like watching a essay on what the film is about before seeing a full-length film.
As a horror movie the characters hint towards what is going to be happening without overly pointing out the obvious. The dark feeling and undertones adds to atmosphere of this film. The tense feeling between the two characters from their first meeting and the unease you feel watching them interacting helps really draw into what the story is about. Enough horror fantasy without bringing witchcraft or science experiments gone wrong forward. Elements of the supernatural playing a part but not fully explaining how things have come to be.
It was nice seeing a horror film that doesn't use gore and violence to sicken you but instead eases you into the ultimate gross out factor as the development to whats happening is shown.
The amount of knowledge into wine making really shows up as well. Not just a film using wine as a base but also teaches you with real knowledge taken further to an extreme to help create shock.
