Watched this film at the Chennai film festival. It's strong in script but technically lacks a few elements. If we eliminate those factors, it's a well made film to satisfy the audience. Whole theatre enjoyed many moments. Lighting in some scenes, and the edit is a bit distracting, but overall it's a feel good, light hearted funny movie with a message. Geniune attempt.

"How Is That for a Monday?" is an engaging film with esteem emotions. An ingenious effort by the Director made this film truly a thrilling heft.
Some amazing performances, excellent background score, sharp editing with an engaging screenplay makes this film a must watch.
I love the writing of Director, I find it very heartfelt and honest. Climax is genuinely touching. This film also provides a lesson that not always someone's bad past will be bad in the end.
While watching this movie, some superstitious things were said by the main character that really made me think about how things happen for a reason. I highly recommend this movie!

Watched it at OC film festival yesterday. It is a thriller from the start to the end where two unlikely storylines come together. The transitions from one scene to the next is superb. All the characters acted very well. Yolanda, Shyam, Chris and the police acted awesome. It's hard to believe this is the first of Sripal's movies. He is better than a lot of the current Telugu directors. Thoroughly enjoyed the one and half hour movie with some friends. We are certainly looking forward to the nationwide release. We should encourage more independent film makers with low budget.. that's when the creativity comes out.
A neat film with some twists and turns with the connect of Akshaya Tritiya(Hindu festival). A relevant subject matter is told with a right dose. I'm personally a fan of movies that end happily and this film does that job just right.

Great movie. Definitely watch it at least once. Different from many movies in general. Worth your money and time. Fast paced. Totally hero oriented; female character is not visible, but her presence is very strong. This story has its roots in beliefs, exposé's racism and discrimination in the past. How something like a medal has no value for someone and immense value to others is neat and nicely captured in this movie. The story, screenplay, direction, acting, and everything else is very gripping. No moment where I felt the story is dragging or boring. I will give 4.5 out of 5 for this movie 👍.

Upon, full completion of the feature; I am very proud to say I have learned more about how dedication prevails leaving this money packaged up as an efficient thematic construct that really held me in my seat gripped in, start to finish. I am astonished to see how such a flick, with little I know on budget, can be such an efficiently designed feature, I think EVERYONE should take some tips from this director, and how hard work can prevail over DILUTING a feature WITH MONEY MONEY MONEY, humbled to see such a movie for these areas, with how diluted the movie scene has become/ casting is A , along with the color composition just had this raw natural undertone that I fell in love with.

Watched and throughly enjoyed the movie all actors did performed very well and good direction .
The connection of burger with Americans is shown well in this movie background music score is one another department which did exceptionally well. The thought of plot and connecting the story is well managed by the director. Once again great job by director sripal sama and well acted by all actors especially Main lead Kaushik ghantasala.
Everyone will definitely relate something about their job firing or job resignation after watching this movie but so much happening one day is also happened in May people life.

Engaging screenplay coupled with fresh acting, keeps you on the edge of the seat most of the time.!
Also shows the reality of many NRI software engineer life's. Movie has its moments where it connects east and west cultures and backgrounds with a subtle narration.
Direction and acting compliment each other well. If you are someone who loves small films and enjoys smart screenplay and fresh acting, this is definitely an easy one time watch. Do give it a try!
Like this review if you also got connected to the subtle nuances of the NRI life in USA or anywhere in the abroad. Hope you also enjoy the movie as much as I did!!

First of all this is a brilliant piece of entertaining, engaging, nuanced, hillarious, subtle, non-political, non-ideological, heart-warming movie. I am very very proud that this is a Telugu movie (albeit majority is in English) made by a person of Telugu origin.
Acting: The acting in this movie was too good. It is the only movie that I have seen where American actors (white/Latino/African-American) acted so well. Each and everyone was natural, subtle, not overly dramatic. I do not think any other Indian movie can ever boast this.
Humor: The humor was situational comedy that felt real, simple and brought a smile to everone's face. It's not cheap comedy we se in Telugu movies generated at the expense of ridiculing /shaming someone for their skin-tone or body-shape or status in life. I do not remember watching Indian comedy that wasn't cringe. Let's not even talk about Telugu comedy in the recent years/decade.
Well written characters: When did anyone see a Telugu movie with realistic human characters, well-made , well enacted without too much of soapy drama or cringe? I can only remember Shekhar Kammula (Anand, Godavari. Leader, Fidaa, Dollar Dreams) or the great K. Viswanath (especially my fav Swarnakamalam). No wonder, it is him that is recommending this movie to fellow Indians/Telugus.
While watching the movie, I had a huge smile on my face from beginning till the end. I got to watch this movie for free, out of sheer luck. This was featured by a friend of the director at a Give Campaign Event here at Microsoft HQ in Redmond for October Give Campaign Event. Huge thanks to Laxmi Dharmatej Sampathi Rao, Vikram and others for organizing the event. My review might just be a drop in an ocean but every drop counts I guess.
Lastly, the undercurrent of this movie, atleast for me was karma- improtance of doing your job/duty well and that no job or piece of work is insignificant or beneath you . Or as we say ---Karmanyevadhikaresthe Maphaleshu Kadachana - Makarma phalaheturbho Matesangostvakarmani.

'How is that for a Monday' provides everything - stupendous direction, each and every character very well crafted, the punches through out the movie, and mainly the suspense thats not let out till the end of movie. Such a perfect script , specially when the mystery starts unfolding in the second half justifying and answering every single question left in the beginning and at the end it was heart touching closure. The narration and the screenplay were outstanding.
The dialogs penned by Sripal are awesome. They got blend into the script. It is for such films people await for. I definitely feel/wish this film should be watched by everyone.

I watched this movie in hyderabad Rama Naidu premier. Movie did with decent budget and screen play is very good. Good family thriller. If you are techie guy or film lover must watch. This is coming October 27 in theatres better try to watch in theater.
Koushik acting is good as American Desi techie all other Hollywood actors also played their role.
I thought this movie is like padamani sandhya ragam dollar dreams or hyderabad blues but this one is totally different. You get a feel watching full English movie with Desi mindset.
This is a good experiment as every Telugu guy is in a position to understand English happily you can go and watch and feel it.

Wow!! This movie is incredible. Sripal pulled out this brilliant movie with a shoestring budget. It is engaging throughout especially linked so many incidents which does not look connected to each other... He talked about many contemporary issues.
Like.... Indian identity crisis.. A billionaire dream and how that percolates to common man!
How racism impacts people!
How life can be so unpredictable!
Same things means different for different people!
Simply a great movie to watch.
I look forward to Sripal Sama's future movies.. Please watch Trashed by the same Sripal. That made me to watch this movie.

Very nice feature film... I was lucky to see this film in OC film festival over the weekend with my family and we have thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Some of the aspects I have enjoyed in the movie are story twists, turns, suspence, clarity in each characterization and climax. Beautifully made movie and a sincere attempt by the technical team and the director. I am sure this movie is something I like to watch multiple times. Great work by whole casting crew... I forgot to mention, one other best element in the movie which keeps audiences engaged is background score. Excellent work by everyone. Thank you....
Everything in this film feels fresh and authentic, and it perfectly aligns with my taste. It's a movie that offers an authentic narrative, cleverly situating a Telugu character amidst the social issues of America, all seen from the unique viewpoint of the director. This is the beauty of independent films, as debutant directors in big productions seldom get the freedom to present their vision as it is. Director Sripal made the most of this creative freedom, instilling in me the confidence that he will return with even better films. While it could have been slightly more fast-paced, it served as an opportunity to delve deeper into the characters, their world, and the director's creative vision. Music and trailer are awesome too.
