This series is acceptable, with hopes that it gains traction soon. Characters take time to develop, but a BIG improvement would be to dump the Carlos character. The acting and chemistry aren't all that great, but Supernatural wasn't either at the start and got better over time.
Has anyone else been turned off by the incessant sighing that Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) did in Supernatural? I noticed that John Winchester is doing that a bit, too. I hope it stops!
Anyway, part of what made Supernatural so good was story lines and characters that were interesting and added that ongoing evil presence to be fought against. Let's see something like them in the Winchesters, soon.
