"Kiff" is South African slang for "cool".
The title card for each segment features a fictional product that "sponsored" the segment. The fictional product also plays a role in that segment's story.
The end theme shows Kiff sitting next to Barry in a jungle. This is not shown on television, but can be seen on DisneyNow.
"Kiff" is not actually the titular character's name, but a nickname her parents gave her when she was little.
Kristophe Buns, a recurring character on the show, was designed after Bongo from Matt Groening's comic strip, Life in Hell. Lucy Heavens and Nic Smal have claimed to be big fans of Matt Groening's work.
