This film does an excellent job of portraying the details and drama of high stakes gambling at the craps table. The cinematography is A and there are some great actors in this film. I really enjoyed this movie and the characters and development of the story is very interesting and multi-faceted. There are many moments where I thought I knew what was going to happen and there was yet another unexpected turn.
I am also very impressed with the technical accuracy portrayed in the game. As someone who lives in Las Vegas and plays craps every day, I truly hope that this film leads to more and detailed coverage of the game and characters related to the game as the film may have just opened up a new world for Hollywood as these characters are just priceless.
The characters are spot-on and the action is non-stop with plenty of great scenes from a great filmmaker. Of particular relevance is seeing guys like Wayne Newton accurately portraying "Bruce" who is one of the more experienced craps players. Also of notable interest is Shawn from Boys to Men who comes up with the idea to run a craps game out of the house.
All of the action and portrayal of craps players and culture is welcome by me, and I look forward to seeing more films about the culture of the craps player. A true American original story that has only beginning to be told.
