"Rebellious Sisters" is a Korean series that, unfortunately, stands out more for its distorted and negative portrayal of family relationships and social values than for its narrative quality or message. The protagonists, three sisters, are selfish and egotistical characters whose behavior towards their family, especially their father, is alarmingly disrespectful. They not only feel entitled to humiliate any family member, but they also demand adoration from everyone around them without any apparent reason.
The series also presents a concerning portrayal of men, depicting them as weak-willed characters with no voice or authority. Moreover, the way it mocks and belittles police work in the plot is regrettable and shows a lack of respect for a profession that should be treated with seriousness.
In terms of content, the series has nothing positive to offer the audience. It's difficult to find a single redeeming message in the entire narrative. The only reason some viewers might continue watching the series, as I did, is the hope that at some point the protagonists will receive the punishment or consequences they deserve for their deplorable behavior. Unfortunately, "Rebellious Sisters" fails to redeem itself, leaving a sense of emptiness and frustration.
In summary, "Rebellious Sisters" fails to deliver a coherent story or values that could resonate positively with its audience, and it's a series I would not recommend.
