I usually enjoy travel shows, especially about the beaches, and i also somewhat enjoyed the Girls Next Store. But put them together, and it just really did not work. There were several issues with the show. There was usually another person on the "trip" with her, but that person was always changing, even several times in one episode, to the point that it was annoying. She should have had a constant companion. Another thing was that she seemed honestly fake in her enthusiasm. She was always EXCITED or SCARED, the food was GREAT or GROSS, there was never an in between. Just didn't seem genuine to me. The way she dressed seem a little tacky to me. Her and whoever her random "friend" were seemed to be the only people dressed in such skimpy, gaudy outfits, especially in places like Croatia. I'll admit her outfits were cute, but not appropriate for her surroundings. And the skinny dipping was pretty ridiculous, maybe on a reality TV show in Beverley Hills this is acceptable, but on the Travel Channel? I understand that they want to appeal to a younger audience, but I'm 20 and I would have preferred her to show a little more class. Since Florida was the only place I've been that they included in the show, i was especially looking forward to that episode to see places I knew. But they only showed 2 places!! The Keys and Miami, when I KNOW there are plenty of other beaches there that are Travel Channel Worthy!! It makes me wonder how much I am really missing from all of the other destinations. And last, though this doesn't really pertain to the quality of the show, but DANG! Bridget is starting to look old, the crows feet around her eyes were really noticeable in a lot of scenes. I thought she was a lot younger than she appears in the show. The show wasn't all bad, she did a lot of adventurous things and visited many cool places, but honestly there were times when i was just bored and wanted to fast forward. I watched this show to see the beaches, but it was all about Bridget. I feel like this show would have been directed towards someone in my age group, but i just wasn't into it. People watching the Travel Channel want more information and less boobs. Obviously i wasn't the only person who thought the show wasn't that great... it wasn't too successful.
