Featured review
The usual failing of a Bree Mills production, underdeveloped story line, afflicts this DVD compilation of six vignettes from "Future Darkly"'s second season, but the various story premises are intriguing nonetheless.
Magnum opus in the bunch runs 70 minutes long, taking the porn gimmick of a life-size sex doll and breathing new life into the topic.
Titled "The Aura Doll", it features a real doll named Harper from Aura Dolls, the company briefly infamous for trying to open a sex doll-brothel in Toronto a couple of years back.
Harper is the property here of your typical pervert Tommy Pistol, who overplays his role for at least the 500th time in his Adult career. But making the feature-length vignette watchable is the performance by Whitney Wright, who at first is shocked by her internet first date turning out to be with Pistol & a silicone doll, but is soon entranced by the lovely creature, leading to a strong threesome.
Bree Mills appears as Whitney's pal, who encourages her re: internet dating in the first place. Harper is an attractive looking sex toy, though she looks more beautiful on the Aura website when Whitney investigates, looking as if facially styled to resemble another Bree Mills regular, Eliza Jane. Highpoint of the show is Whitney's erotic dream of lesbian lovemaking with Harper, which looks far more realistic than the ultimate threesome scene, perhaps enhanced by using a real human actress body double for Harper (I couldn't prove this).
Briefly noting the other scenes: India Summer is terrific with her soothing voice as the authoritarian ruler of a dystopian future society (featuring an in-joke name dropping Authoritarian Orwell as one of her officials) in which Tyler Nixon and beauty Aria Lee manage to have sex surreptitiously despite Amazon/Alexa styled surveillance.
Body-swapping is presented as consciousness-swapping in a rather odd incest vignette, permitting Stepdad Dick Chibbles to hump his beautiful daughter Jaye Summers by inhabiting the body of her boyfriend Lucas Frost.
Pretty much a one-note gag is "The Breeding Pod", with Maya Kendrick and Derrick Pierce as future slaves, whose entire existence is humping to generate babies. A crummy set and a dumb "surprise" cameo at the end ruin this one.
Outre comedy is used for "The Ghost Rocket", a twist on the old "alien woman comes to Earth to bang men", involving pegging. Rather silly is Justin Hunt somehow getting a magical pocket watch that can freeze time, which he uses to force his childhood friend Alina Lopez to make love to him, right after boyfriend Nathan Bronson presents her with an engagement ring -a scene that makes no sense, just relying on stupid gimmicks.
