It’s time to take NBC‘s comedic sitcom St. Denis Medical off life support because the show is getting a Season 2 renewal! Fans of the series created by Superstore and American Auto’s Eric Ledgin and Justin Spitzer have been stuck in the waiting room while hoping for more episodes of the laugh-out-loud comedy, and today, news outlets are ready to give them the good news!
St. Denis Medical takes place in an underfunded, understaffed Pregon hospital for a mockumentary-style sitcom. The show places audiences in the scrubs of determined doctors and nurses who work tirelessly to treat patients while holding tightly to their tolerance and humanity. Anyone who’s ever worked in the medical field or experienced an extended hospital stay knows how stressful a hospital environment can be, and the staff of St. Denis Medical do their best to keep the unpredictable environment safe, light-hearted, and functioning.

Philomena Cunk asking the big questions; the return of one of film history’s greatest villains; the start of a groundbreaking rights deal for live wrestling; an epic Western drama that captures the brutality of the American frontier; Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz headlining a spy caper; and Gabriel Basso returning to his breakout role are some of the highlights among the new films and series hitting Netflix in January.
On Jan. 2, we will see the welcome return of Philomena Cunk on Netflix, perhaps the world’s greatest investigative reporter who is simultaneously the worst informed person on TV. Born from the mind of Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker, deadpan queen Diane Morgan stars once more as Cunk in Cunk on Life, a follow-up mockumentary series to Cunk on Earth and Cunk on Britain. Actors who got their start on Disney Channel have starred in plenty of entertaining films over the years. The accomplished children's channel is known to produce some notable names in Hollywood, with many of the most well-known Disney Channel stars leading successful careers after their time with the channel was up. Having the freedom to branch out as an actor, these stars have dabbled in various genres, including moving drama films, showstopping musicals, and hilarious comedies.
Serious films like The Iron Claw and The Fallout, starring Zac Efron and Jenna Ortega, respectively, show a different side to the beloved actors that audiences rarely saw while they were on Disney Channel. This shift in one's career and public perception isn't always easy to pull off, but these stars did just that. Blended is Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore's worst movie. Thankfully, Sandler and Barrymore are open to working together again. The Wedding Singer is the duo's best film.
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore starred in the 2014 rom-com Blended, and given that it is their worst movie together, I desperately need them to make another film so that Blended is not their final one. Sandler and Barrymore have played love interests in three movies over the course of their acting careers, making them a notable duo in Hollywood. Given that they keep on making movies together, it stands to reason that Sandler and Barrymore have a good working relationship, which has resulted in fantastic chemistry and is why many seem to love their onscreen partnership.
Sandler and Barrymore first worked together when they played the leading roles in the 1998 rom-com The Wedding Singer. Six years later (to the day), Sandler and...

Saint Clare is a haunting, blood-soaked thriller set for its UK premiere in August at London’s FrightFest. Bella Thorne delivers an outstanding performance as the eponymous lead in a spiritually charged small-town tale in which American Psycho meets Joan of Arc.
In a small town, a solitary young woman is haunted by voices that lead her to assassinate people with bad intentions who think they can get away with it. But her last kill changes everything and sucks her headlong down a rabbit hole riddled with corruption, trafficking and twisted visions from the beyond. Can Saint Clare save herself from unimaginable terror as her pursuit for retribution takes a dangerous turn, carrying her deep into an unknown hell?
Based on a novel by Don Roff, the film is expertly helmed by award-winning Italian director Mitzi Peirone (Braid) who co-wrote the screenplay with Guinevere Turner (American Psycho). The stellar cast also includes Ryan Philippe,...

The Netflix special roasting NFL great Tom Brady made it onto the streaming charts for the week it premiered — despite it only being up for a few hours of that week.
The Roast of Tom Brady racked up 279 million minutes for the week of April 29-May 5, good for 10th place among original series in Nielsen’s rankings. The special streamed live on May 5, meaning it tallied those viewing minutes in under 12 hours. (With a running time of almost three hours, the 279 million minutes equate to about 1.6 million complete runs of the special.)
Bluey moved back into the top overall spot with 1.18 billion minutes of viewing on Disney+, adding to its total as the most streamed title in the United States so far this year (21.73 billion minutes and counting). The controversial movie Miller's Girl made it to the Netflix Top 10 despite a 29% Rotten Tomatoes rating. The movie bombed at the box office, but surged in popularity on Netflix. Ortega's bold career choices, like in Miller's Girl, may secure a strong legacy, despite its poor performance.

Blended is Sandler & Barrymore's lowest-rated film together, receiving only 15% on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite flaws, Blended is not actively bad & highlights the solid chemistry between the stars. The Wedding Singer remains the best Sandler & Barrymore collaboration, showcasing their compatibility.
Blended is one of three movies Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore starred in together and is often regarded as the worst of the lot. While Sandler's films have rarely been critical darlings (with exceptions like Uncut Gems and Punch-Drunk Love standing out more as a result), some have garnered particularly harsh words from critics. This includes Blended, Adam Sandler's movie with Drew Barrymore where the two play recently single parents who find themselves increasingly pushed together during a trip to Africa.
Even when compared to the mixed reception of their prior collaboration 50 First Dates, Blended suffered from several negative critical reviews that focused on the boring and low-key offensive elements of the movie.

Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton entering into a unique arrangement, J.Lo fighting evil artificial intelligence, the roasting of an NFL legend, a retelling of the invention of the Pop Tart, Brooke Shields and Benjamin Bratt at war and John Mulaney’s six-night live comedy event from Los Angeles are some of the big titles hitting Netflix in May.
Debuting on May 3 is Jerry Seinfeld’s directorial debut, Unfrosted. The comedy legend works both sides of the camera for this humorous feature take on the birth of the Pop Tart. The movie is set in 1963 as breakfast cereal giants Kellogg’s and Post compete to become the first company to create a morning pastry. Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan and Amy Schumer also star, with Hugh Grant more than likely to steal the whole film with a turn as Tony the Tiger.

As summer approaches (for the Northern Hemisphere at least), Netflix is set to premiere a fresh season of one of its biggest hits.
Brigerton season 3 is set to arrive on May 16 and will debut a “new crop of debutantes” into the regency drama fray. Other original series of note this month include Indian drama Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar (May 1), the Jeff Daniels-starring A Man in Full (May 2), and intriguing Korean title The 8 Show (May 17). Of course, Netflix is also rolling out a suite of true crime docs and docuseries as well. Chief among those options is Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal on May 15.
It’s the movie side of things where Netflix is feeling particularly lively though. May 3 sees the arrival of Jerry Seinfeld Pop Tart comedy Unfrosted. That will be followed by rom-com Mother of the Bride (May 9) and the Jennifer Lopez-starring Atlas (May 24).

It’s season finale time for networks, but Netflix, naturally, still has plenty of brand new TV and shows coming in May.
Jeff Daniels makes his TV return in the David E. Kelley series “A Man in Full.” That six-episode series is based on the bestselling book of the same name by Tom Wolfe. Per a press release: “When Atlanta real estate mogul Charlie Croker faces sudden bankruptcy, political and business interests collide as Charlie defends his empire from those attempting to capitalize on his fall from grace.” The series will also star Tom Pelphrey, Diane Lane, Lucy Liu, William Jackson Harper, Aml Ameen, Sarah Jones, Jon Michael Hill and Chanté Adams.
Additionally, comedy fans can get excited for a new special series from John Mulaney. The comedian is hosting a multi-night event, “John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in LA,” that looks to be part interview show and part man-on-the-street hijinks.

Drew Barrymore has confirmed from her old pal Adam Sandler that a Happy Gilmore sequel is indeed in th works.
The actress and talk show host broke the news via a preview clip for Friday’s episode of the Drew Barrymore Show. Barrymore initially brought up the subject of a Happy Gilmore sequel to her audience, saying, “I want it. I need it.” She continued, “I stayed up last night with my daughter watching Billy Madison. I sent Sandler a video of that, and then he sent me another video back, and I’m waiting to see if he’s confirming about the Happy Gilmore 2 script.”
She cited Christopher McDonald’s interview from last month, where the actor — who played Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore — claimed that Sandler had shown him a draft of the long-awaited sequel. The clip then shifted to later on in the show’s tape,...

Update: It looks like Christopher McDonald was right about Adam Sandler working on the script for Happy Gilmore. Sandler’s fave co-star and longtime pal Drew Barrymore confirmed, in a clip from today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, that the sequel is indeed happening. “I want it. I need it. And I stayed up last night with my daughter watching Billy Madison,” says Barrymore, adding later, “I’ll just say this, from my source, that it is in process.”
Barrymore famously starred with Sandler in three movies, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Blended. The two have remained close over the years, with Sandman frequently turning up on her show. While he’s mostly focused on drama recently, including the recent Netflix film Spaceman, Happy Gilmore 2 would likely be warmly received by fans, especially if co-stars Christopher McDonald and Julie Bowen return.

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone's chemistry in La La Land is unforgettable, leading to acclaim and nominations. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore's off-screen friendship enhances their on-screen chemistry in films. Ayo Edebiri and Rachel Sennott's comedy talents shine in Bottoms, leaving audiences eager for their next collaboration.
In Hollywood, acting duos have the potential to bring out the best in one another, resulting in audiences wanting to see more of the pair. Some acting duos have worked together many times, such as Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, and have become known and beloved because of it. Other duos, such as Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, have worked together for years, forming an off-screen friendship that helps create notable on-screen chemistry.
However, other acting duos have only collaborated one time, but were still successful in showcasing a compatible creative relationship that audiences might not have thought would work.

Adam Sandler’s movies have their fair share of lovers and haters. The Sandman’s films are popular among some sections of the audience. Despite making some subpar films, everyone seems to root for the actor. However, Sandler revealed that he was never approached by big studios like Marvel to play a role in their films. He also has no hope that the opportunity will ever come in his career.

Interestingly, rumors suggest that Marvel Studios was looking into Sandler to play the role of Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy back in 2013. However, James Gunn shared that he never met the Happy Gilmore actor for the said role.

“Drishyam,” a hit Indian thriller in which an ordinary man confounds the police in order to protect his family, is to be re-made in English. Production is by India’s Panorama Studios with U.S. companies Gulfstream Pictures and Joat Films.
The film was first made in 2013 in the Malayalam language, before being remade in Hindi with Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead roles in 2015. It earned itself a Hindi sequel “Drishyam 2,” in 2022, that grossed some $43 million worldwide.
Panorama, which produced the Hindi version for Viacom18 Motion Pictures, has acquired the international remake rights to “Drishyam 1 & 2” from the original producers, Aashirvad Cinemas, and is settling up multiple international versions. A Korean remake with Anthology Studios was announced in May last year, while Panorama says that a development deal for a Spanish language retread is also close to being finalized.

Fans of the film industry are divided when it comes to Adam Sandler. You either really enjoy his movies or you simply don’t. There is no in-between. Actress Drew Barrymore posted an emotional video for co-star Adam Sandler after re-watching their 1998 rom-com ‘The Wedding Singer’, the first movie they ever starred in together. Drew, 48, was supposed to be heading to a yoga class when she stumbled across ‘The Wedding Singer’ playing on TV. She became so invested in the iconic ’90s rom-com, which she starred in alongside Adam that she wound up sticking around to watch the whole thing.
“It started this morning,” Drew said in an emotional Instagram video, reports eonline.com.
“I was supposed to be heading to yoga class, and I’m taking the next later one so I can watch it.”
The actress, who was visibly tearing up in the clip, then addressed Adam directly, saying, “We made such a good movie. I love you so much. Happy New Year.”

Amazing acting duos dominate movies with their great chemistry, witty writing, and organic reactions. Iconic actor duos like Simon Pegg and Nick Frost or George Clooney and Julia Roberts always have an eager audience. Newer or one-time acting duos like Sandra Oh and Awkwafina in Quiz Lady leave audiences wondering if they will collaborate again.

Back in 1998, Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler charmed the world with their film "The Wedding Singer." Set back in 1985, Barrymore played Julia, a catering waitress who is engaged to a complete jerk named Glenn (Matthew Glave). She meets wedding singer Robbie (Sandler) at the reception hall where they both work, and it's the very definition of a meet-cute. However, Robbie is also engaged to a jerk named Linda (Angela Featherstone), who doesn't appreciate his low-paying job. Of course, Julia and Robbie end up together after he serenades her (with rock star Billy Idol's help) on the flight to her wedding in Las Vegas. Look, this would be a pretty awful situation in the real world, but in a film, it's adorable.

There’s a lot to watch on Prime Video in October and, as you may have guessed, there’s spooky stuff galore in amongst Prime’s usual rotation of extensive library content.
In the movie Totally Killer, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Kiernan Shipka travels back in time to the 1980s to stop a serial killer. Then there’s Make Me Scream, a Halloween special that challenges celebrities to “a gruesome game of terror.” Renfield will also be streaming on the service for anyone who’s been dying (muahahaha!) to catch the Nic Cage Dracula film.
Outside of Prime Video’s more creepy fare, Shazam! Fury Of The Gods will debut, Upload will be back for a third season, and new film Awareness should scratch your sci-fi itch. Meanwhile, for Frasier heads – those who consider themselves utterly Frasier-pilled – all eleven seasons of the Cheers spinoff show will be streaming at the touch of a button.

The incredibly popular critic aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes has been the go-to for cinema enthusiasts for 25 years, but some actors with the lowest scores may feel differently about its popularity. With its extensive library of everything hot or not, and the hallmark "certified fresh" stamp of quality, Rotten Tomatoes has become a tastemaker for the TV and movie industry. So it means something when an actor's entire career is dotted with neon green splats of awful reviews. While it's true many hands make a film, there is something to be said about the performances at the heart of each production and whether they resonate with an audience.
With critics and audiences often in disagreement with one another, it is often far more telling when they actually agree. Compiling this list was a deep dive of both audience and critic scores and using both the average and median to best ascertain...

Adam Sandler is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the movie business, and not even the worst Adam Sandler movies have slowed down his output. Adam Sandler movies like Bulletproof or Click are great films in their own right, even if they tend not...

Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore joked about ditching their “goofy” frequent co-star Adam Sandler in favor of starring in a movie together. It was all in good fun, though, as Barrymore said she’s always there for whatever Sandler is “putting out into the world,” and she hopes that might include a project for the three of them to work on. Here’s what they said about it.

Drew Barrymore is actively looking for a new movie project with Adam Sandler, but the perfect idea has been right in front of her the whole time: 50 First Dates 2. 50 First Dates is one of Sandler's funniest 2000s comedies, and it's the one comedy movie in his filmography that perfectly balances his comedy and dramatic acting. The movie follows Henry Roth (Sandler) who falls in love with Lucy Whitmore (Barrymore), but she has amnesia and doesn't remember anything after a certain day in her life, which includes meeting Henry again every single day. It was a huge hit, making almost $200 million worldwide (via Box Office Mojo).
50 First Dates was the second film from the acting duo, and now, Barrymore wants to make another movie with Sandler. The actor explained that she is "actively seeking" a new project with the comedy actor for the collaborators' fourth movie. However, while...

Drew Barrymore is actively working towards a new movie with Adam Sandler. Barrymore and Sandler’s on-screen ties go as far back as 1998, when the pair starred in The Wedding Singer. Since then, Barrymore and Sandler have led two additional romantic comedies together: 50 First Dates and Blended.
Barrymore now suggests to Et Online that another Sandler-Barrymore collaboration may be coming soon. According to Barrymore, she and Sandler want to find the perfect combination of something new before working together again. Nonetheless, she is “actively seeking” another project with Sandler. Barrymore elaborates below:
"We might have mentioned something about it this morning. We're actively seeking. I know, I wonder the same thing, 'cause I think that is important for us, to hook into it. Maybe not be redundant of something we've done in the past, but not try to prove we're doing something different just to prove it. It's like an alchemy,...

Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore seem like the kind of costars you'd want to work with again and again - especially if you're Adam Sandler. The duo showed up to support their costar and longtime friend as he received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on March 19. The star-studded ceremony - which took place at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall in Washington DC - was also attended by Idina Menzel, Chris Rock, Steve Buscemi, Ben Stiller, Pete Davidson, and Adam's wife, Jackie Sandler.
"As I look at this goofy award I'm holding, I just can't help but think this just may be the weapon used to bludgeon me, by an angry intruder," Sandler joked in his acceptance speech, per The Hollywood Reporter. He then went on to discuss how much he loves making movies with people he loves. "When someone asks me: those bad reviews you get - how does that make you feel?...
