The lasts names of many of the main characters are also names of Oklahoma towns: Ada, Dewey, Stillwater, Norman, Perry, Yukon, and Hanadarko.
Gordon MacDonald (Hut Flanders) and Holly Hunter are a real life couple. They became parents in 2006. MacDonald had already appeared in season 1 playing another character.
The network announced the cancellation while the crew was shooting second half of season 3. TNT decided then to give them 3 more episodes to finish the plots.
