"The Prisoner" finds the department concerned over Captain Miller's marital troubles, sending over a Catholic priest (Henry Jones) to have a chat with the Jewish Barney. Inspector Luger discovers his new fiancée, "Ago-nes," so annoying that the honeymoon is over well before the wedding. Harris checks over the patterns of a recent set of robberies, and deduces that a master cat burglar is back on the street, despite Dietrich's assertion that he died in prison two years earlier. What has transpired is that his wife (Peggy Pope, third of six) has decided to carry on in her husband's name, out of sheer boredom. Veteran character actor Jeff Corey (first of two) plays recent parolee Ralph Timmons, who has spent three decades behind bars, actively breaking his parole to return, unable or unwilling to adjust to his unfamiliar freedom. Playing Ralph's parole officer is Bruce Glover, veteran of "Diamonds Are Forever" and "Chinatown" (and father of actor Crispin Glover), making his only appearance on the show.
