"The Ghost" finds Harris disgruntled with roommate Dietrich ("he grows things!"), while Yemana brings back the goods from a pornographic bakery, where a 'disgusted' caller was particularly offended by the strawberry cupcakes! Everyone's reaction is different (Dietrich: "how 'bout those bagels?" Barney: "I'm a relatively sophisticated adult, there isn't too much that I haven't seen in...is that what I think it is?" Yemana: "rye bread!" Wojo: "wow you really gotta be warped to do something like that!" Harris: "what the hell is that with them poppy seeds?"). Titos Vandis (second of three) plays a Greek immigrant who married a hooker (Caroline McWilliams of SOAP and BENSON) to become an American citizen, but has since grown to love her. Nehemiah Persoff (first of three) plays immigration authority Carl Simms, simply assuring them that they beat the system. Believing he can tell a person's nationality but wrong about Barney's, he confronts Dietrich (Simms: "your mother is French?" Dietrich: "right!" Simms: "and your father?" Dietrich: "he's dead!" Simms: "I mean before?" Dietrich: "he was alive!"). Kenneth Tigar (third of six) plays Elliot Porter, who insists that the disturbance he's being blamed for was actually caused by a Revolutionary War poltergeist named Julius (Wojo questions whether its name is 'Casper'). Strange things do start happening, as desk drawers move and the coat rack inexplicably falls over. Harris tells Barney that Bellevue has other priorities ("the disillusioned will just have to wait!").
