Featured review
Part 2 of "Quarantine" marked the debut of Ron Carey (previously seen in the title role of "The Mole") as Officer Carl Levitt, bringing back Paula Shaw's Paula Capshaw, James Gregory's Inspector Luger, Jack De Leon's Marty Morrison, and Ray Stewart's Darryl Driscoll. Darryl keeps busy by scrubbing the mold and mildew off the coffee cups, alarming Nick ("these cups look different, I thought it was a pattern!"). Officer Levitt makes his first appearance in the squad room, inquiring about any sandwiches left over (Levitt: "I work downstairs?" Harris: "yeah, I'm sorry!"). Levitt sees the men from the 12th arrive every day, not speaking a word to him as they head upstairs to work, already complaining that his lack of height prevents him from making detective (his next appearance comes in the famous "Hash"). Inspector Luger needs a toothbrush, which Nick helpfully supplies, the one used to clean the typewriters! Paula Shaw's Paula would make one return appearance in "Bugs," Marty would return in "Asylum," and Darryl would return in "The Child Stealers."
