- Jordan Roark: I hope that I've healed during our year apart, and that I'm sitting with you while you read this. But if I'm not, it's not because I don't love you... Because I do. - [gets up]
- Charlie Bellow: Uh, goodbye.
- [on his way]
- Jordan Roark: My fiance broke up with me.
- [shakes her head, sits there sniffling]
- Charlie Bellow: [turns back] Uh... uh... it's okay. Here.
- [offers handkerchief]
- Jordan Roark: You carry a handkerchief? What are you, asthmatic?
- Charlie Bellow: No. I - We're I'm from, people carry handkerchiefs.
- Jordan Roark: Where are you from? 1850?
- [Charlie squirms]
- Jordan Roark: Is it clean?
- Charlie Bellow: Yes!
