The movie was announced with suresh gopi, mukesh and sreenivasan in lead roles with a photocard of mukesh, suresh gopi and sreenivasan. But seeing suresh gopi in the middle, somebody in the crew started gossiping that mukesh is the lead hero and suresh gopi playing his second fiddle. This didn't go well with suresh gopi and he left the project. That is when siddique approached jayaram. When jayaram came on board, siddique changed aravind's character from an angry young man to a flirtatious man.
