Real life husband and wife Tim Reid and Daphne Maxwell-Reid star as the mayor and his wife, parents of Todd, the Golden Boy.
Laura Vandervoort and Kaley Cuoco both went on to play major characters in TV shows based on DC comics, with Cuoco playing the titular Harley Quinn in Harley Quinn (2019) and Vandervoort playing Supergirl and Brainiac in Smallville (2001) as well as a different version of Brainiac in Supergirl (2015).
