Felix in the Swim

While the running time for this short cartoon is listed as six minutes on IMDb, the copy I saw on archive.org was considerably shorter. My assumption is that it was originally longer and got truncated through the years (early movie theaters often sliced movies apart to shorten them).

This cartoon begins with nice-cat Felix letting a mouse out of a mousetrap. In appreciation, the mouse offers to do Felix a favor--to help him sneak his friend out of the house so they can go swimming. But the boy's mother INSISTS he stay home and practice the piano. How can a mouse help with this and how does it all end? See the short yourself.

This is a pretty clever film but because it's so short, it's also a bit shorter on laughs than a typical Felix the Cat cartoon. Still, if this is all we've got, it's better than nothing!
