- Quotes
Red Queen: What kind of tree is it?
March Hare: It's a weeping willow.
Red Queen: A weeping willow! I don't want to wake up in the morning and hear a willow weeping outside in my garden, that's depressing!
White Rabbit: No, Your Majesty, the tree's branches droop so that it appears to be weeping. The tree doesn't really cry.
Mad Hatter: This one does! And not only does it water itself, it also waters all your other plants!

Every single episode of this show had a purpose, it wasn't just mindless entertainment. They used their airtime to teach valuable lessons ranging from grammar to racism, and they did it in such a way that never once went over the heads of their target audiences. The writers on this show, both in the dialogue and the music, had a real gift for presenting difficult subject matter in an easily digestible package for young viewers.
And you can't talk about this show without mentioning the music. Every single episode feels like a mini broadway show, with very well produced musical numbers that are catchy, educational and fun simultaneously. They stick in your head, and some of them still haven't left me all these years later.
This series never truly felt like a TV show. Every single episode was given the love and care of a much bigger production, and no corners were cut. All the actors gave their all every time the cameras were rolling, and it produced a show that, while a product of its time (and an endless series of memes waiting to happen), holds up its quality fairly well and needs to be seen again.
I was hoping to see this show on Disney back when it launched but, unfortunately, we still haven't gotten a proper release of this series. Here's hoping Disney comes to their senses, gives this a proper HD remaster and makes it available to the world yet again. With the exception of outdated technology and a few dated references, this show still holds up today and the lessons are timeless. This needs to be available again.
