[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Night Court Season 3 Episode 1, “The Judge’s Boyfriend’s Dad.”] The truth has a funny way of coming out. After Abby (Melissa Rauch) spent the entire Night Court Season 3 premiere trying to shield Dan Fielding (John Larroquette) and new boyfriend Jake (Ryan Hansen) from catching wind of the possibility that they could be father and son, the episode ended with them finding out anyway. The premiere kicked off with Abby having a nightmare about Dan and Jake finding out this secret and responding with anger, leaving her panicked when she woke up. Abby visited Ryan’s mother, Susan (Julia Duffy), in the hospital to get answers about the identity of Jake’s father, but the drugged-up Susan could provide little answers. Jake’s mannerisms started to slightly mimic Dan’s, making Abby even more worried. Dan, meanwhile, was none the wiser as he was busy dealing with the new courtroom prosecutor,...

Note: The following story contains spoilers from “Night Court” Season 3, Episode 1.
“Night Court” kicked off Season 3 with an expansion of the parenting mystery set up in the Season 2 finale, which star and EP Melissa Rauch said presents a “major bump in the road” for Abby and Jake’s budding romance.
After leaving off with the unsettling realization that Dan (John Larroquette) might be the biological father of her boyfriend, Jake (Ryan Hansen), Abby (Rauch) goes on a mission to discover the truth — and the stakes are heightened when she realizes Jake’s mom (Julia Duffy) might’ve also dated her father.
“As we were working toward the season finale last year, we knew we wanted to go out on something that would be a story generator that would propel us into Season 3,” Rauch told TheWrap. “[Ryan Hansen] was just supposed to come in for one episode last season playing our Hr rep...

A few years ago, John Larroquette wasn’t eager to reprise his four-time Emmy-winning role of Dan Fielding in NBC‘s Night Court revival. A year’s worth of back and forth with costar Melissa Rauch (who was just an executive producer at the time) made him decide to take it on, but there was another key reason motivating his eventual yes. “I have a caricature that [Al] Hirschfeld made of Night Court in ’86 or ’87. I look at that, and everybody in that caricature has passed away except me,” he tells TV Insider ahead of the revival’s Season 3 premiere. The opportunity to honor the memory of his late costars is what sealed the deal. “When I first was approached with this idea, I didn’t like the idea at all,” Larroquette admits. “And only because I thought egotistically, I don’t want to be compared to myself when I was 34 years old.

Disorder in the court! Premiering Tuesday, November 19, Night Court Season 3 kicks off by quickly addressing the Season 2 finale cliffhanger, which teased that Judge Abby Stone’s (Melissa Rauch) new man, Hr rep Jake (Ryan Hansen), could be defense attorney Dan Fielding’s (John Larroquette) son. In the premiere, Abby visits Jake’s mom, Susan (Newhart’s Julia Duffy), in the hospital to get answers about the paternity mystery, which will be resolved in the first two episodes. The Abby of seasons past would have loved this close connection to her colleague Dan, whom she already feels bonded to through her late father, Judge Harry Stone. But now, dating Dan’s potential son is a psychological nightmare for the eternally optimistic judge. “It’s twofold for Abby, if he is in fact Dan’s son,” Rauch explains. “Because this father-daughter relationship between Abby and Dan [already exists], so does that make Jake surrogate...

NBC’s long-running hit sitcom Night Court revolved around the idiosyncratic cases argued in its titular location, and the lovable weirdos who worked there — none weirder than youthful judge Harry Stone (Harry Anderson), who never let his work on the bench interfere with his true passion: close-up magic.
The sequel series, which premiered last year, doesn’t stray too far from the original. Once again, the presiding Night Court judge is young, quirky and optimistic about most people she meets. She’s also a Judge Stone — Judge Abby Stone (Melissa Rauch), Harry’s daughter. She’s exactly the kind of judge who would eagerly sign up for a program called Operation Second Chance, which hires formerly incarcerated people. And since original prosecutor Olivia Moore (India de Beaufort) has departed since the Season Two finale, Abby’s decided to fill the vacancy with Julianne, whose record for (among other crimes) arson has recently been expunged.

On Tuesday, 19 November 2024, at 8:30 Pm, Night Court returns for Season 3 with an intriguing episode titled The Judge’s Boyfriend’s Dad. The episode kicks off with Abby suspecting that Dan might be the father of her boyfriend, and she decides to do some investigating to uncover the truth. As she digs deeper into the mystery, the story takes an unexpected turn when a blast from Dan’s past resurfaces as the court’s new prosecutor. This new development complicates things further, adding an extra layer of drama to the already tense situation.
As always, Night Court delivers its signature blend of humor and heart, with characters navigating personal and professional challenges in a fast-paced, comedic environment. Abby’s investigation into Dan’s potential family ties promises to bring a fresh dynamic to the courtroom, while the return of a character from Dan’s past will add more excitement to the episode.

I have very sad news to report tonight. It has been announced that Tony Todd has died at the age of 69. The legendary actor is best known for his roles in Candyman, Final Destination, Platoon, The Crow, Night of the Living Dead, and his many appearances in the Star Trek franchise. He was a massively talented actor whose incredible baritone voice made every project so much better. This is a huge blow.

Since ABC’s hit series “Scrubs” wrapped its nine-season run in 2010, Hollywood has mostly shied away from comedies set in hospitals — at times a tough place to find laughs — though there have been outliers like Fox and Hulu’s “The Mindy Project,” Warner Bros. and Adult Swim’s absurdist “Childrens Hospital” and HBO’s critically acclaimed “Getting On.”
NBC is the latest to attempt it with “St. Denis Medical,” a new sitcom that blends this challenging setting with a popular format: mockumentary. Can Hollywood find comedy inside a hospital in 2024, especially from a show that focuses on hospital workers’ everyday lives and following a global pandemic?
To try to find out, TheWrap did an exclusive set visit in the last week of filming for the show’s 18-episode first season, which is set to premiere on Nov. 12. TheWrap spoke with the “St. Denis Medical” cast and creators about crafting the comedy series.

Fans of “The Big Bang Theory” and “Blossom” are in for a treat during Mayim Bialik’s upcoming “Night Court” guest star spot, which Melissa Rauch teases includes “many” Easter eggs for both shows.
“People can expect to see many ‘Big Bang’ Easter eggs, both ‘Big Bang’ Easter eggs and ‘Blossom’ Easter eggs throughout the episode,” Rauch told TheWrap of the Season 3 episode.
The sitcom will serve as an on-screen reunion for Rauch and Bialik after last starring together on “The Big Bang Theory,” with Rauch saying, “We have, of course, kept in touch since ‘Big Bang,’ although we haven’t been on set together since our season finale.” Bialik will also reunite with John Larroquette after she appeared on “The John Larroquette Show” in the ’90s.
In the upcoming episode, Bialik will play what Rauch calls a “bizarro version of Mayim” as the former takes the stand as a night court defendant.

The Big Bang Theory can easily be a fan favorite with its sarcasm-filled and science-infused storylines. The beloved sitcom ruled the CBS screens from 2007 to 2019 and focused on four socially awkward scientists and their quirky neighbor Penny. The fans of the sitcom know almost everything about their favorite stars. However, their height has always been a point of discussion amongst the viewers.

While Jim Parsons, as part of the main cast, can easily give others a height complex, there are other characters who are even taller than he is. Let’s take a closer look at the cast of the show and assess each character’s height, from the shortest to the tallest.

Get ready for a Big Bang Theory reunion on Night Court! See who Mayim Bialik is playing on the NBC sitcom!
Fans of Night Court are already used to the comedic styling of star Melissa Rauch thanks to her years on The Big Bang Theory. While she wasn't part of the original cast, Rauch soon connected with fans as Bernadette, showing fantastic comedic chops and a great style. She rose up with a marriage to Howard as well as raising a family.
She was a good contrast to Mayim Bialik as the former Blossom star was also notable on the series as Amy, Sheldon's future wife. After Tbbt ended, Rauch moved on to Night Court, a sequel series to the 1984-1992 NBC sitcom. She plays Abby Stone, daughter of Judge Harry Stone (the late Harry Anderson), who now presides over the same Manhattan courthouse that sees a flood of weirdos.

The Big Bang Theory can easily be one of the most sought after shows on the CBS network. Even after its 12 seasons run, fans wanted more from the show. Apart from the quirky humor and the not-so-easy to understand science jargons, the sitcom also boasted a stunning ensemble. And this massive popularity also brought in some of the highest paychecks in television history.

Brilliant Minds is off to a good start for NBC.
Michael Grassi’s medical drama has attracted 9.2M cross-platform viewers to its premiere episode since the September 23 debut, NBCUniversal says. That’s up 138% from the live same-day audience of 3.9M.
The audience declined slightly for Episode 2, attracting 3.5M live same-day viewers on Monday night, though that still was good enough to make it the top scripted show of the night across the broadcasters.
Actually, in the 18-49 demo, Brilliant Minds has seen the smallest Week 2 decline among the last five NBC drama debuts.
Brilliant Minds also had the third best debut for any NBC show on Peacock, coming in behind Found and Night Court — two shows that have demonstrated strong staying power since they premiered. In the six days post-premiere, Found had already surpassed 10M viewers after securing 3.8M in live same-day.

Scovell created the series and will executive produce with Susan Rovner through her newly minted Aha Studios banner. CBS Studios is producing.
The Fishbowl marks Scovell’s second procedural pilot for CBS. The first, Without a Clue, starred Gary Cole, Busy Phillips and Marisa Coughlan, but did not move forward to series.
