"Uncle, do they really come from Paris?" is a 1975 Spanish film by Mariano Ozores that boasts a good cast as Alfredo Landa , Rafaela Aparicio, José María Caffarel, Inma de Santis. It deals with Alberto (Alfredo Landa) a single who sells statues and who is commissioned to take care of his nephews and nieces for a few days . Alberto comes to the capital to stay in the care of his nine nephews ane nieces . Intrigued by the question of sex, the children ask uncle Alberto thorny questions , then he enlists the help of a neighbor (Africa Pratt) . Our protagonist Landa allows himself the function of giving education and moral lessons to the group of children and young people, something that does not count when it comes to preparing them for a supposed adult life, procuring the beginning of relationships with professional prostitutes. The script would allow for something more extensive, since it only stops fully in the story of three of the nephews , the teenage girl who dates a much older boyfriend who tries to take advantage of her , the virgin teenager and the musician captured by a homosexual sect.
Family comedy , slight , simple, emotional and relaxed in which Mariano Ozores shows, once again, a more than remarkably ease narrative and succeeds in linking the various plots with absolute naturalness , knowing how to carry out the right weight on each scene at all times. Its sense of humor reaches moments of great embarrasing and that is why the smile , or undisguised laugh, can appear at any time during the uneven developing . Fluid , joyful and tender but a politically incorrect film by today's standards , the presence of the always great Alfredo Landa raises the tone of comedy from a ridiculous family romp to passable - at times - story.
Alfredo was one of the best and more popular Spanish actors and creator a cinematic subgenre : Landismo . His long career is formed by 110 films for forty years . In his first period through the 60s he starred secondary comical roles in notorious titles as El Verdugo by Berlanga , Ninette y un Señor de Murcia by Fernando Fernan Gomez , and No somos de piedra by Manuel Summers .After the successful No desearas el vecino del quinto by Ramon Fernandez , he performed over 30 comedies in Spanish style : "a la Española" , creating the "Landismo", including titles as Prestamela 15 dias , No desearas la mujer del vecino , Simon contamos contigo , Guapo heredero busca esposa , Dormir ligar todo es empezar , No firmes mas letras cielo , Vente a ligar al Oeste , Jenaro el de los 14 , Manolo La Nuit , Un curita cañon , El reprimido . His third period starts with El puente by J. A. Bardem , being directed by prestigious filmmakers as Jose Luis Garci in Las verdes praderas , El crack I, El crack II , Cancion de cuna ; Antonio Mercero in La proxima estacion ; Luis Garcia Berlanga in La vaquilla ; Basilio Martin Patino directed him in Los parasos perdidos , Jose Luis Borau in Tata mia and J. L Cuerda in El bosque animado . And standing out important characters in Los Santos Inocentes by Mario Camus , Don Quijote TV series and El Rey del rio by Manuel Gutierrez Aragon . Along with Alfredo Landa appearing a large number of notorious secondaries , such as : Rafaela Aparicio , Antonio Ozores , Emilio Laguna , José Maria Caffarel, Montserrat Julió , Alejandro Enciso, Rafael Vaquero , Victor Israel and the early decesed Imma de Santi , all of them give the feature film that additional value that great actors give to the works in which they participate. The motion picture was regularly written and directed by comedy expert Mariano Ozores . Thus Mariano Ozores career was developed in the comedy genre with exception for the Sci-fi picture ¨La Hora Incognita¨ that he wrote , produced and directed, but was a real flop and he was bankrupt. Then Mariano promised at the future only to make comedies . Although it won prize of the National Syndicate of Spectacle to best actor José Luis Ozores and Best artistic Achievement . Mariano directed 93 films , most of them were comedies , though made some dramas as "Alegre Juventud" and "Las Dos y Media y veneno" with his brotehr José Luis Ozores and Antonio Ozores again . Mariano directed a lot of comedies for the greatest Spanish comedians as Paco Martinez Soria , José Luis López Vázquez , Lina Morgan , Alfredo Landa , Jose Sacristán and the successful duo : Fernando Esteso and Andrés Pajares . Rating Tío, ¿de verdad vienen de París?(1977) : 4.5/10 . Movie to watch for 70s Spanish comedy enthusiasts without complexes of any genre and for Alfredo Landa fans .
