The triangle love tale I also liked with Yves Montand in Le Cercle Rouge (1970) directed by Jean-Pierre Melville, Z (1969) by Costa-Gavra and The Wages of Fear (1953) by Henri-Gerorges Clouzot. Also with Sami Frey in Sweet Movie (1974) by Dasan Makavejev and Bande a Part (1964) by Jean-Luc Godard and the lovely Romy Schneider with La Piscine (1969) also with Alain Delon directed by Jacques Deray and What's New Pussycat (1965) with Peter Sellers director Clive Donner. All the three actors are fine but I am not sure that the film really works. I am able to watch and enjoy it but Yves and Sam seem to be better together than with Romy she says she loves them both but I'm not convinced. As I say it is pleasant enough but far from realistic, just what we expect from French films.
