Best known for her long-time run on the ABC comedy, "George Lopez," Constance Marie stars next in the upcoming Latinx romantic comedy series, "With Love." Created and written by Gloria Calderon Kellett ("One Day at a Time"), the five hour-long episodes, each of which are set during a different holiday, follows the multi-generational Diaz family over the course of 12 months as they experience the highs and lows of life during some of the most heightened days of the year. Constance plays Beatriz Diaz, wife to Jorge Sr (Benito Martinez) and mother of two who is going through a midlife/identity crisis with her kids getting older and her marriage to Jorge Sr on auto pilot. All five episodes of "With Love" premiered on Amazon Prime Video on December 17, 2021.
Most recently, Constance appeared in the Amazon rotoscope dramedy, "Undone," opposite Rosa Salazar, and she recurred in the Netflix comedy, "Alexa & Katie." In addition, she starred in the NBC miniseries "Law & Order True Crime: Menendez Murders." She has also guest-starred and recurred on a variety of shows including the CBS comedy "Angel from Hell" and TNT's "Animal Kingdom," as well as voicing a character on Disney's animated series "Elena of Avalor," the first to feature a Latina princess.
Constance starred for five award-winning seasons on the hit Freeform series, "Switched at Birth," for which she won an Imagen Award, an ALMA Award and a Gracie Allen Award for Best Supporting Television Actress for her role as Regina Vasquez.
For her beloved portrayal of wife Angie Lopez on "George Lopez," the Imagen Awards honored her with a Best Actress in a TV Series Award, and she received multiple nominations from the Alma Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Series.
In the debut year of "George Lopez," Constance was also starring in the Golden Globe-nominated PBS series "American Family," alongside Edward James Olmos, Sonia Braga, Esai Morales and Raquel Welch.
Her career began when she was a teenager in the Los Angeles underground break-dancing scene. She was selected out of a group of 500 hopefuls to dance on tour with David Bowie. Upon returning to Los Angeles, she was cast as a dancer in the movie "Salsa." The film's choreographer, Kenny Ortega, introduced her to producer Steve Tisch, who offered Constance her very first acting job, a starring role as Penny on the CBS series "Dirty Dancing."
It wasn't long before she was working in feature films, such as "My Family," directed by Gregory Nava. She won praise from fans for her portrayal of Tejano music legend Selena Quintanilla's mother, Marcella in the blockbuster film "Selena." Constance was only a year older than her onscreen daughter (Jennifer Lopez), so she had to undergo extensive make-up to portray Selena's mother.
Constance also starred in the celebrated film "Tortilla Soup" as the daughter of Raquel Welch. The film received an Alma Award nomination for Outstanding Motion Picture.
Television producer Gary David Goldberg soon offered Constance a role as Michael J. Fox's antagonist love interest on the hit series "Spin City." She played Gabriella Diaz on "Union Square," for which she received an Alma Award nomination for Outstanding Female in a Comedy Series. She also portrayed Detective Toni Brigatti for two seasons on "Early Edition," opposite Kyle Chandler.
In her personal life, Constance is mother to a daughter, Luna-Marie. Candid about the difficulties she faced trying to get pregnant and eventually turning to IVF, she is determined to reach out to women in similar situations to let them know that they are not alone. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable about pregnancy and wellness, she practices a green lifestyle including composting and recycling, and she is a vegetarian, leaning heavily toward vegan these days. She is also an organic follower who had cloth diapers for her baby and zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in her nursery, and she has organic mattresses in their home.
She is an advocate for PETA, Planned Parenthood and Equal Pay for Women. She is the spokesperson for the East Los Angeles Women's Center that helps women dealing with rape, domestic violence and human trafficking.

The young actor of Salvadorian and Mexican descent has also been able to expand his resume with roles in many short films. Fourteen years working as an actor has taught Jovan that having various talents is always a good thing. Abel Fernandez was born on 14 July 1930 in East Los Angeles, California, USA. He was an actor, known for The Untouchables (1959), Steve Canyon (1958) and Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse (1958). He died on 3 May 2016 in Whittier, California, USA.- At age 7, Paul was first inspired to act, ride motorcycles & horses when he met Actor/Martial Artist Bruce Lee working out on a trampoline in the back yard of his neighbor, Martial Artist Bob Bremer & his brother Freddy on Elm Street in Alhambra CA (Bob a welder, who liked to wear a fedora, made a Steel hand for Halloween, which coincidentally & conceptually appeared in "Enter the Dragon", "Nightmare on Elm Street" & "Edward Scissorhands"). Bob's other friends included the late Motorcyclist Bill Laidlaw of the Laidlaw Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Family, who would bring over a different motorcycle every weekend and tell the kids to dream about growing up and exchanging their sting-ray bicycles for Harleys. Predominately a Chicano Neighborhood, this Elm Street attracted the 1960s avant-garde crowd of the San Gabriel Valley, which included many future celebrities & athletes. Another neighbor, Ben Rizzio had horses in a field back then and was friends with many Cowboys & Actors. The networking, camaraderie and visits by so many well-known people were a surreal experience absorbed by a young Paul.
At Emery Park Elementary School in Alhambra, Paul was Student Body President and a City Football All-Star and was usually picked to be in plays and presentations.
Later when in high school, he rode his horse across the set of the Television show, "The Incredible Hulk" filming a rodeo scene at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena/Charro Lienzo in Pico Rivera, California and was encouraged by the producers & director to pursue acting utilizing his great horsemanship abilities. He was hired for a few days to help keep the locals safely away from Lou Ferrigno between takes; meanwhile, his parents persuaded him to return to his studies.
Though he didn't know it at the time, the business continued to pursue Paul. As a junior college engineering student he worked for a summer as a draftsman, unknowingly, for Robert Redford's then brother-in-law Gary Van Wagenen for Cooperative Education College Units.
As a Santa Fe Railroad Surveyor and Engineering Inspector, Paul was called upon to protect several Production Companies filming on or around railroad property & in between train movements, and was again approached & advised by various producers and directors to consider Acting.
Paul's late girlfriend, Marjorie Volk Saccio ("La Mariquita"-RIP), a Nurse & Mariachi Violinist from San Diego, California who had studied in Santa Fe, New Mexico and had visited the set of "The Milagro Beanfield War" (Paul & Margie's favorite movie), also encouraged him to act.
Finally recognizing the message behind all of these "coincidences" and taking heed, Paul then in his early thirties started Acting. Paul's 1st film, "Por Vida" (USC), screened at the Sundance Film Festival; his 2nd film, "Pancho Villa" (LMU), was helmed by, coincidentally, Robert Redford's & Gary Van Wagenen's nephew Matthew Van Wagenen, future Music Video Guru Dave Meyers, and David King.
Paul wrote to the CEO's of All The American Beer Companies about Chicanos being the largest group of beer drinkers that he had seen, yet were invisible in their advertising. Miller Lite responded by casting Paul in 8 "Men of the Square Table" Man Laws National Commercials. Paul also wrote to The Harley-Davidson Motor Company & Chevy, who cast him as well.
Though often assumed by many to be a street hoodlum while growing up, Paul was a straight "A" student, who only played that role when necessary, as he was too busy studying, riding horses & motorcycles and dreaming. Paul contributes to various Charities and participates in many Motorcycle Charity Events and Children's Toy Runs.
In 2013 & 2014, Paul took a sabbatical from Hollywood to travel to North Dakota, Montana, New Mexico & Texas on a great journey, researching and working on unique railroad construction projects as a Construction Engineer for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. Paul built up his railroad pension and has since retired after 36 years with the railroad.
Paul is back in Hollywood, studying and reacquainting himself with Casting Directors with his best work to date. Paul is a young Chicano Morgan Freeman in training, ready to transcend ALL Roles when given the opportunity! - Writer

Val's first foray into magic was at the age of five with a trick called "the ball vase" that his father brought home while Val was recovering from an illness. After he returned to health, Val took up magic as a hobby and later discovered that performing small tricks would fend off the bullies that roamed his neighborhood. He continued in this vein until a short-sighted high school teacher told him that he would never get anywhere.
No one person is responsible for Val's return to magic. Instead, it was the work of a local Intercultural Awareness program he watched while he was a teacher's aide at a school in El Sereno, California. Val realized that he missed performing magic, so he auditioned for (and made) the Interculutral Awareness touring group.
By the time the 80s ended and the 90s rolled around, Val had moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and was performing in casino shows like Viva Las Vegas and Splash; after having appeared on The Merv Griffin Show and in a music video by Herb Alpert. It is while he was performing in Las Vegas showrooms that the Fox Network found him.
Fox's Alternative Programming division was looking for a magician to appear in a series of a specials revealing the secrets behind selected illusions, and they had a long list of potential employees, Val among them. Although he initially turned the network down, Fox was willing to negotiate and Val eventually signed, promising that he would only reveal the secrets behind old illusions.
For a span of two years (circa 1996-1998), Val was known as the Masked Magician and the specials came to be called Breaking the Magicians' Code: Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed. It is unclear what caused him to do so, but Val "retired" after four specials and revealed his identity to the viewing public.
After retirement, Val decided to try his fortune performing abroad and departed the country for Brazil, where his popularity soared. Masked Magician mania took the country by storm as merchandise bearing the face of "Mister M" (as they call him there) flew off the shelves and television ratings went through the roof as thousands of people tuned in to watch him every Saturday morning.
From Brazil, Val went to Japan, where he was received in a similar fashion. After that, however, nothing has been reported.- Actor
