David is co-founder/producer and one of the managing directors of Continuance Pictures. David knows how to move quickly when opportunity beckons. The Brisbane and Melbourne-based motion picture studio was established in early 2018 and quickly unveiled the 'Continue' Short Film Initiative program. The initiative is designed to provide opportunities to emerging creatives and to encourage creatives to make bold and risky choices for the sake of innovation to help emerging creatives for entering the global film market and present their work to a wider audience.
David's producing strategies are heavily influenced by some of the most renowned production companies, Blumhouse Productions and A24. He has extensive business accoutrement from running his own company for five years before starting Continuance Pictures. Proven to be business savvy, with an eye for understanding the trends in volatile market and able to provide market insights in the fast-moving film industry.
He co-produced Cursed, a web horrorcomedy series, initiated by Screen QLD in 2018 and strategised a release leading up to its feature at SxSW festival in 2019. And It has been an official selection at HollyWeb Festival 2019 and LA Comedy Short Festival 2019.
Currently post-producing a short film titled Erica's Return and will be featured in some of the most renowned festivals in Europe and US in 2019.
Currently involved in the development process for upcoming projects EVO, Toots, Risk, Wreck, Bad Dog, and Isolation - the first co-production feature film between Screen Australia and the Korean Film Council.
He is writing the upcoming 2020 feature, Wildflower with Chris Pahlow, writer behind Brother's Nest (2018) and Sam Bliss whom he met while completing a Masters of Journalism in Melbourne.
