Annabelle Wachtel is an Actor, Screenwriter, Playwright, Director, Singer and Dancer originally from New York City.
She began her professional career at the age of 9 when she was cast in the National Tour of the Broadway Musical "ANNIE" by Martin Charnin (creator, lyricist & director of "Annie"). She played the role of the funny and youngest orphan Molly and traveled with the tour for over 6 months while performing more than 162 times in 33 US states and Canada. She then made her Broadway debut at the age of 10. Annabelle joined the cast of "SCHOOL of ROCK, the Musical" as Marcy, singer on the band (and understudied Summer-the band manager), a role she played 8 shows a week from 2016-18. In Spring of 2022, she joined Sarah Silverman's Off Broadway musical "THE BEDWETTER" where she understudies Laura, Abby, Ally and Amy at the Atlantic Theater Company in NYC.
Annabelle first appeared on Television at just 11 years old when she guest starred as Charlotte Kensington opposite Michael Weatherly on the holiday episode of the CBS show "Bull". More recently, she was a lead actor in the short film "SUNDAY WITH MONICA". Annabelle is on Hulu as a recurring character in the television show "UP HERE" directed by Tommy Kail, written & run by Steven Levenson, music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
Annabelle has also directed several short films, including "Plantman".
Annabelle's play "Le Bruit de L'Ennui" had its staged reading this summer off-Broadway at the MCC Theater in NYC.
