Larry Wilmore, who executive produces Hulu-Onyx Collective’s hit legal drama “Reasonable Doubt,” said Season 2’s new cast addition Morris Chestnut was a fan prior to joining the series and wanted to be part of it.

“He actually expressed how much he loved the show, and when we approached him, wanted to be a part of it, and he just made it work,” Wilmore shared as he opened up about how much fans and some celebs enjoy the series. “So it’s fun to have that, that people feel about that, because you don’t know when you’re doing it. People might hate it, you have no idea, so it’s nice to have that.”

“When [Terry McMillan and I] were collaborating on ‘Tempted by Love,’ I really wanted it to come from a real place,” Beauvais told TheWrap. “At first we’re like, ‘Is it too much to do the arthritis? Is it too much to do the menopause?’ But we’re like, ‘But that’s what real women go through.’ So why would we shy away from that?”

Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan will continue his quest for fame: Nickelodeon has renewed the multi-cam sitcom for a 13-episode Season 5, our sister site Variety reports.

The series follows “a family whose world is turned upside down when their nephew, Young Dylan (played by Dylan Gilmer), an aspiring hip-hop star, moves in unannounced,” reads the official synopsis. In a first trailer for “The Game” Season 2, shared exclusively with TheWrap, players on and off the field are tested by the pro football league’s unionization efforts, which leads to confrontation, betrayals and, of course, power plays. The sophomore season of the Paramount revival series will premiere with two episodes on Dec. 15.

“The Game” stars Wendy Raquel Robinson, Hosea Chanchez, Adriyan Rae, Vaughn Hebron, Analisa Velez and Toby Sandeman. Per the sports drama’s logline, it offers a “modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of professional football. The beloved characters tackle racism, sexism, classism and more as they fight for fame, fortune, respect and love — all while trying to maintain their souls as they each play ‘The Game.'” In Season 2, the drama and laughs double as the core group fights to survive the storms of change.
