Christina Sours is a Producer from the team that developed ILM's StageCraft volume buildout and virtual production services. Between running her own businesses as a professional freediver and photographer, she contributed to ILM virtual production from 2017 to 2021 on specific projects and global strategy-working with both engineers and production teams on operations, crewing, capacity and technology development. She now consults for productions and vendors on virtual production projects spanning TV, film and marketing.
Christina spent the start of her career working across marketing and publishing before jumping into on-set film production roles. In 2016 she worked at GoPro in their original content division until 2017 when she moved into VFX at Industrial Light & Magic. She spent her first ILM years in the Technology department project managing Rendering, Comp and Virtual Production R&D teams. In 2019 Christina transitioned to StageCraft Production to manage both ILM's development of the StageCraft full production service as well as the local San Francisco Motion and Facial Performance Capture stage team. Her passion for people and creative team building has enabled her to lead complex projects requiring expertise from talent in practically all departments over the past 5 years. Her background in VFX Technology brings together the pieces of both physical production and engineering needed to successfully build and operate LED volumes and other virtual production systems that continue to develop.
