Steve Mair

Steve is a London session (studio) double bass player. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, he studied at the Royal College of Music in London. He then freelanced with all the major orchestras in London, working mostly with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra and the Academy of St Martin-in-the-fields. Since 2009, Steve has been a dedicated session musician and has worked on many of the major soundtracks of films that have been recorded in London. He is also a 5 ball juggler, a keen darts player, a regular Times crossword solver and a licensed London Cab Driver!
