Eva-Marie was born in Manhattan (NY) to an American mother and Swiss-German father. The family moved from New York City to a small village north of Lake Geneva, where she spent most of her youth. She started acting on stage in Geneva before being accepted to the Gymnase Auguste-Piccard (Lausanne) due to her skills as a pianist. After completing summer programs at Sylvia Young Theatre School and Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she attended University College London to study Biological Sciences. While still a student, she was scouted by a modeling agency and secured her first screen role in The Circle (2017). She then completed an MA at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama under the tutelage of Amanda Brennan. Her love of film prompted her to explore all aspects of the industry, working between acting jobs as an art director for projects such as Outsiders (2021) (dir. Grace Parry) and Sucker (2022) (dir. Alix Austin), as well as in screenwriting, production, and casting.
