Perhaps, one of the few people who are crazy for films & movies. Now, a Video Specialist by profession, his love for movies & films have always been a subject mostly talked about in the local media. Since the age of 7, he has been crazy for films, movies, music videos, animation films. His passion towards videos led him into the world of film making at the age of 10. Shooting of events, birthday parties, trips into the natural beauty of Indian terrains, he just went on and on with his experiments; providing him a huge library of videos. By the age of 16, he had turned his passion for films into an addiction. Literally, he would skip his college and go to theatres to watch 1st day, 1st show of his beloved movies. Probably, because he never got caught during this act, he still prefers to skip anything for watching films in theatres.
His professional stint with the video industry started at the age of 18. This was a time period when his city witnessed a revolution advertising industry. His college introduced him to the world of professional advertising during his studies. S.B. Education Society has been a pioneer institution in the state of Maharashtra. Being a part of Prime Focus turned out to be one of the biggest achievements of his professional life.
Based on the guidance he received from international VFX Artists & colleagues spread across the globe, he decided to pursue one of the most important dreams of his parent's life: Studying Abroad in a country where VFX & Animation is given utmost important in the media industry. This led him to resign from his job and move towards Australia. In the Capital Territory of Australia (Canberra), he studied Master of Visual Effects. It was not just about how to composite a shot or how to track one, it was about the science behind every VFX Shot. The art of video editing, why create a video, why edit it, and most importantly, how to transform an audience into lovers of the video. These are the aspects of video industry he focused on. For him, films and videos were not just a medium to connect to an audience or to make money. For Rohit or Ro as he was fondly known by his Australian friends & colleagues, films was an essential factor of life. Keeping this in mind, Ro developed the skills of communicating with his audience through visual story telling. His knowledge of films provided him a platform to work as a Tutor of Film Studies. He started to educate young students in the art of film making, video editing theories, music video development, and proper usage of VFX and so on. Basically, he educated the young minds of his time with the same knowledge that was missing from his days of film studies. His efforts led him to work in Sydney, where he further got engaged with his film study activities. He taught many students while working as a Roto Artiste and a shoot supervisor to support his living expenses.
