Ted Jefferies was born in Melbourne, Australia, and raised in Ontario, Canada. He studied theatre at Bishop's University in Quebec, graduating in 2011 with an Honors B.A. in Drama. With an eagerness to pursue a career as a comedic film and television actor, he continued his studies at Second City, Toronto, where he finished among the Top 10 (of 12) students in Improv 101.
While acting in shows like Reign (2015), 12 Monkeys (2016), and The Expanse (2017), Ted began learning how to make films with his younger brother, Marshall. They wrote, produced, directed, and edited their own comedic web series, The Bunch Gang Show (2014), which was received surprisingly well by their parents who had just paid for two university degrees. The brothers went on to win awards and competitions for their short films Willing to Lie (2018), Kick Me (2018), and Right Side Down (2020), and are working on their first feature.
