Eileen Slavin is a New England based film editor. She has had a fascination with post-production since childhood, during which she made animations frame-by-frame using Windows Movie Maker and MS Paint. Her portfolio has (thankfully) expanded since then to include short and feature films, music videos, corporate shorts, web series, and documentaries.
Eileen graduated summa cum laude from the film media program at the University of Rhode Island and has over a decade of experience working as a film editor. She loves collaborating with producers and directors, and enjoys every aspect of the technical and creative process that film editing entails.
Eileen was recognized as an "Outstanding Woman of the 48 Hour Film Project" for her editing work on The Adventures of Slick Willy: A Bridge Too Far (2016), Very Hairy Species (2017), and Kung Fu Cannoli (2017). In 2022, she won "Best Editor" at the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival for her work on the feature film Higher Methods, directed by Nathan Suher.
She has a genuine enthusiasm for visual storytelling and loves connecting with audiences on an emotional level through the art of editing.
