Discovered while wildly dancing in the streets of Hollywood by television host and entertainer, Nick Cannon, Venk's animated personality coupled with an unassuming comedic style, helped to launch him into a flourishing career as an inventive multi-faceted writer / director / actor / producer. Known not only for his dance and freestyle rap, Venk is committed to telling heartfelt stories that are unapologetic. Through his Khrisp Entertainment banner, he produced and starred in his first feature film, Four Samosas, which world premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival in the US Narrative Competition and sold to IFC Films. He was featured on shows like Veep, The Comedy Get Down, and Ellen and rose to prominence by appearing in the hit TV series Wild N' Out. Most recently, Venk co-starred with Gina Rodriguez on QCODE's scripted thriller podcast Last Known Position as Reyansh Chabra.
As a writer/director, Venk's award-winning short films have been accepted into over 25 festivals including Urbanworld, the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, and many more. His fiction comedy podcast series, Masala Jones, was featured in The AV Club and included on The Bello Collective's list of 100 Outstanding Podcasts of the Year. As a recent distinction, Venk won the American Film Market's (AFM) prestigious film pitch competition. Raised in Atlanta, GA he is based in Los Angeles, California and holds a B.A. from UCLA and a dual masters MBA & MFA from Chapman University.
