John moved from his native Ireland to his current home of New York City to work for some of the city's top studios before spending 5 years engineering for renowned producer Andy Wallace.
Since then John has worked mostly out of New York and Los Angeles while also making records around the world in cities like Nashville, Copenhagen and London. In 2011 Electric Lady invited John to take up residence in their historic Greenwich Village Studio where he made home until 2019 when he moved to a custom built private mix room in Brooklyn's waterfront neighborhood Dumbo.
