Albane Sofia Chateau is a French actress, proud of her Russian roots, who lived her childhood in California and is now working in Montreal, Quebec.
She graduated from the Ecole Supérieure du Spectacle in Paris and the Lionel Groulx Musical Theatre School in Montreal. She began her career as the title role in the musical tale "The Little Match Girl" (French Tour) and "The Little Mermaid" ( Grand Théâtre de Paris, European Tour). In Quebec, she was member of the All-Cast in the "Geronimo Stilton" musical, winner of a ADIQ 2013 best children's album and directed by Serge Postigo (Montreal National Theater and The Capitole) and Denise Filiatrault offered her the role of timid Sister Marie-Robert in " Sister Act ", produced by Just For Laughs in the summer of 2014 (Théâtre St Denis). She also took part in numerous workshops including "N Queen of Paris" staged-reading by Robert Marien and "Rent" staged-reading by Sebastien Dhavernas. Fluent in English, she has the opportunity to work with great artists from New York, Austin Peddleton, David Spencer and Alan Menken, in the Segal Center world premier of the original musical "Duddy Kravitz" in spring 2015. The summer of the same year, she played the lead role; alongside Martin Larocque, in the musical parody "50 Shades of Grey" who encountered a great success in Montreal and on tour. On screen, she worked on many short-films, who made their way to renowned festivals ("X-women", "Yvette", "Sexy Deer", "Last Call",...) She also directed her first short film "Bird Asylum" in Moscow.
