Sasha Barry was born in Calgary, Canada where she began her professional career. First appearing alongside Ryan Kwanten in the film The Right Kind of Wrong, Sasha has since gone on to perform in memorable recurring and guest roles for beloved Canadian television series such as Heartland, Wynonna Earp, and Hudson & Rex. She now lives in Toronto, Canada, where she has appeared in notable television series such as The Boys and Nurses, as well as several independent film and web series. In 2023, Sasha won Best Actress for her performance in The Van at the Toronto 48 Hour Film Festival, as well as receiving a Calgary Theatre Critic Award nomination in 2016 for her turn as Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire. With a diverse background in visual and performing arts, Sasha is also a prolific mixed media artist and painter; a founding artistic producer of Alberta's queer, body positive performance art collective, The Garter Girls, and a former instructor at the Garter Girls School of Burlesque.
