- Actor
Raised in Oregon on Warner Bros. and Disney animation, Brainerd started making experimental short films during community college, with an eclectic interest in art, English, and science. He eventually found himself studying at the Art Institute of Portland for a Media Arts & Animation degree, where he studied 2D, 3D and stop-motion animation. He began working as a freelance animator.
Brainerd's first major employment was as a Technical Artist on a social game for Zynga, where he worked as a liaison between artists and engineers. He found work in Los Angeles as an animator for the Fox ADHD programming block, primarily working on Lucas Bros Moving Co (2013) and Stone Quackers (2014). He also briefly served as a stop-motion animation assistant on SuperMansion (2015) and the eighth season of Robot Chicken (2001).
In 2016, Travis returned to Bend, Oregon (the home of The Last Blockbuster (2020)), where he hunkered down throughout the soft apocalypse.
