Corey Parys is a U.S. born actor and martial arts champion born in
Milwaukee, Wi.to Mother (Wendy) and Father (James). Corey also has an
older brother(James) and 2 kids (Haley and Codey). Corey attended and
graduated high school at Cortez High in Phoenix, Az. After graduation
Corey joined the Navy and served as a Naval Search and Rescue Swimmer,
a job that moved him to San Diego, Ca.
Corey began his training in the martial arts while in high school when he began training in the art of Shotokan Karate. Since that day Corey has trained in many styles of martial arts including Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), 3 different styles of Taekwondo, Kungfu San Soo, and American Boxing. As well as being a student of the Martial Arts Corey was also an elite level Martial Arts competitor for 15 years winning Bronze and Silver medals at the ATA World Championships, winning 8 California State championship titles, and being ranked as one of the top 10 competitors in his division across the United States for consecutive 15 years. Corey has managed and owned martial arts schools since 2005 and is a 6th Dan black belt with over 35 years experience in the martial arts as a student, an elite level competitor and an instructor.
Corey studied acting with Barbara Baltz in La Jolla, Ca. and was in numerous films and television shows throughout the 90's as an actor and stunt performer. Corey stepped away from acting in the early 2000's to study screen-writing and directing.
Corey Parys now owns a martial arts school (Team XSAMA Martial Arts and Parkour) in 4s Ranch, a community of San Diego.
