John Heff

Mr. Heffernan is a highly experienced professional engineer in the commercial real estate and investment banking due diligence industry. His experience has led him to manage the budget and construction of stadiums, hotels, both single and multifamily residential developments, commercial office space, high-rise office buildings and casinos. Mr. Heffernan has participated in the management and underwriting of over $6 billion in equity level transactions and commercial mortgage backed securities and $12 billion in hard cost construction funds reviewed and disbursed.

Mr. Heffernan has participated in constructing one regional and two national due diligence firms, the ACS Group at CB Richard Ellis and most recently the Commercial Real Estate Platform within the Verisk Analytics Commercial Real Estate Division. Coinciding with these efforts has been advocacy towards and propulsion of through a myriad of service and legislative platforms seeking to achieve continuous improvement in the due diligence industry and a resulting healthy commercial real estate investment banking environment. Mr. Heffernan also continues conference speaking engagements at various annual conference venues and sits on the Mortgage Bankers Association Mortgage Action Alliance, Servicer Council and Investor Council..

This experience and industry acceptance of the need for elevated inspection and reporting standards evident in advocacy efforts community led to the Verisk Analytics Commercial Real Estate Platform. This combined the largest full time inspection staff, commercial property characteristics database, analytics serving the commercial property insurance industry and the traditional PCA to provide the most comprehensive analytical risk mitigation tool ever before offered in the commercial real estate investment banking industry.
