Garrett is an accomplished audio professional with over 25 years of experience in sound design, editing, mixing, and dialogue production. His career began at a recording facility in Toronto, where he specialized in music production, voice recording, analog recording and mixing techniques, and audio restoration.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2008, Garrett interned at Danetracks studio, where he learned from legendary sound designers Dane Davis, Bill Dean, and others.
He has since contributed to more than 200 video games and numerous projects across film, TV, and advertising. Garrett has worked with industry giants like Microsoft, Sony, EA, Activision, Ubisoft, Take-Two, Amazon, Riot, Capcom, Namco Bandai, Nintendo, Konami, and Warner Brothers. His work has earned 11 MPSE Golden Reel nominations.
Garrett is serving his fourth term as a board member of the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE), where he chairs the Game Audio and Website Committees and oversees the MPSE Wavelength Game Audio Annual Fall Editions. He also contributes regularly to the Game Audio column for Wavelength quarterly editions.
In 2017, Garrett founded Pacific Coast Audio Post LLC (PCAP), specializing in game audio. PCAP also offers linear audio post-production for TV and film, field recording, and multi-channel mixing.
