In May 2010 Rhys Barter was shocked to receive messages from the official Twitter account of BBC presenter Nick Knowles, calling him offensive names. Knowles later apologized, saying he had been "sabotaged" after he left his computer unattended while filming on a building site in Liverpool. The incident went down in Twitter history as #twatfacegate, and whether Nick did or did not send the messages himself has been the subject of furious online debate.
